Woodstock City Church (WCC) is one of the eight multisite churches that North Point Community Church operates, just off of Ridgewalk Pkwy in Woodstock, GA. With the news that Andy Stanley’s NPCC has become a cesspool filled with LGBTQ+ affirming pastors, leaders, ministries, guest speakers, and conferences, it’s unsurprising that as more stones are overturned, more bad theology bubbles to the surface.

Surprise Surprise, Another North Point Church Leader is Gay-Affirming and Wildly Liberal
In late 2021, a young man from WCC came out as a “transgendered woman” on Instagram, explaining that his pronouns were now she/her. As he introduced himself to the world, he asked them to be open-minded and curious while delighting in how excited he was to make the change.
A year later, he would provide an update:
With the news of this startling transition, rather than WCC leaders seeing this as a somber, tragic turn of events that requires deep counseling, empathy, and a refusal to entertain his confusion, they instead celebrate him, offering multiple means of support as they congratulate him on a transition well done. In fact, they are so supportive that he was allowed to volunteer as a leader for the overnight youth camps that the church puts on.
In particular, WCC/ North Point leaders are active in the combox at the news of his coming out into gender confusion. Participants include whoever is running the church’s Instagram page, which gave the status a hearty “like.”
Other Woodstock City Church leaders who liked the updates or gave favorable feedback, ranging from “beautiful 💙” to “Be you! Much, much love,” to a man dressing up in drag who surgically mutilated his body after ingesting years of hormones, includes these current and former staffers:
- Mitchell McGhee, a former staff worship leader ordained by WCC who still performs there occasionally.
- Jennifer McGhee, the Director of Transit.
- Ericah Stokes, the Executive Assistant to lead pastor Samer Massad.
- Meg Davidson, the Community Relations Director.
- Andy Kaefer, who spent seven years on Staff at North Point and WCC as Production Director.
- Scott Kitchen, the SPD in charge of service programming for youth events.
- Trey McKnight, who spent 15 years working for North Point as a worship leader/ communicator and then later WCC as the InsideOut Director.
- Andy Jones, the Middle School Director.
- Briteny Kaefer, the Programing & Events Producer at Buckhead Church, another North Point church.
That’s just all the one we know. That list doesn’t include any comments from worship leaders at WCC and other band members, which likewise peppered the page with support and affirmation, or any teenagers at WCC, which we’re declining to name.
One ‘like’ on the post is a tragedy, two ‘likes’ is suspicious, three is endemic, and thirteen is malignant.

A man cannot come out as a woman or vice versa. They can come out and display their issues with being who they truly are.
I remember when we used to have counseling for those in the midst of a mental health crisis.
Now we celebrate them 😳

It’s clear that the writer and each person commenting picks and chooses which part of scripture they want to follow.
We’re called to love people no matter who or what they do. You don’t follow Jesus, you follow false rules and standards. Hypocrisy.
Jesus was loving to the woman caught in adultery when she was going to be stoned, but he told her “go and sin no more.” He didn’t just affirm her in her broken and hurtful (To herself and others) choices. The author thinks it’s more loving to say, “Hey, you are having some problems, let me see how we can help.” instead of affirming life-altering surgeries and living a lie. I will say, thank you for giving the other side of the argument, because I was having a hard time seeing why church leaders would be affirming of someone denying who God made them to be genetically.
Please correct yourself. I am not, nor have I ever been the Executive Assistant to lead pastor Samer Massad. I expect that to be removed from your writing ASAP.
