Kyle J. Howard Announces He’s Done Engaging With White Christians: ‘I Consider White Christianity to be Another Religion’
While Kyle J. Howard is off Twitter following a spectacular flameout that saw him accused of bullying and harassing a group of white abuse survivors; he is not gone yet, as a series of Facebook posts sees him informing his followers that he no longer intends to ‘engage’ with white Christians anymore, only black, indigenous, and people of color. He also declares that white Christianity is another religion, one different from his own, and shares his belief that ethnic minorities are not safe around white Christians.
Despite Howard being the worst of the worst- he refused to attend churches where most congregants were white, refusing to take communion with them or worship alongside them- he retained influence in some circles.
Specifically, despite being a noted racist, (see endnotes) Julie Roys continued to platform him and ignore calls for his removal from her conference, where he was scheduled to speak. Roys knew about his anti-white proclivities but simply didn’t care, choosing instead to stand by him while he wailed on white women and white supremacy through his social media stream. Eventually, he removed himself from her conference- she did not remove him- after finding himself in a predictable mess of his own making.
The month away from Twitter has not been kind to Howard or tempered his vitriol but exacerbated it. In a series of Facebook posts, he writes in part:

I unfollowed Julie a long time ago because of her continual platform of KJH. I sent her a DM asking her, pleading with her, to contact my church, which is the one he was “spiritually abused” at that he publicly slandered. She didn’t. Because if she had, she’d learn everything he did. She’d absolutely know the truth. She’s not a journalist to be trusted due to her lack of honest investigation. At the end of the day, God knows KJH’s heart and intentions. My personal assessment is that he wants an easy life (he doesn’t have a job and routinely creates GoFundMes for himself) and has found a schtick, or hoped he had. He isn’t interested in racial reconciliation (obv), but rather to denigrate all white people. I feel sorry for his white dad, and I think he has white grandparents on both sides. His own wife doesn’t follow him on Twitter and probably just takes his word for all that occurs. God’s Word says he will answer for every single careless sentence he’s uttered. That is what gives me peace. He hurt so many people in my life. Some call him a wolf, but I don’t think most people regard him as a believer anyway, rather most follow him to see him go down in flames, esp. given the relatively low interactions/responses on Twitter, and significantly high quote tweets. He’s definitely not a sheep as he hates being called a Christian (he removed it from his Twitter Bio), hates church, hates white Christians, hates the idea of interracial anything. So much hatred. I have this vision of him trying to walk – and he’s stepping on white faces, trying to get higher and higher, looking ahead with this look of hope, only the white faces keep coming and he can’t. It’s an endless plodding to a destination he will never reach. His life would be so different if he was a believer and if he was seeking to live in peace with others (Rom 12:18). Still, even still, God can redeem him and bring reconciliation. But that would take a complete submission to Jesus Christ, and as of yet, he can’t seem to shut down his own thoughts to hear Jesus.
What seems clear is that no one has really ever held Howard accountable (perhaps some have tried, and he rejected this). We all need correction and the truth, however, if we cut off those who speak the truth (even those with whom we disagree) then we will continue to increase in error and darkness (e.g. Rom 1:21-32; 2 Tim 4:1-5). Howard and Roy are classic cases of echo chambers, in which they reject and cut off those who speak the truth.
The racist is doing every white person a favor by not interacting with them. The dude is a toxic God hater. Leave him to Satan. Reprobation is on the horizon.
WW, your post is amazing. Howard is one I followed on twitter, just to se if I was wrong in my initial assessment of him. He is so vitriolic, hateful, angry, and so off in his characterization of “whites.” Thank you for your words. I tried to contact JR many times to point things out that she needed to check up on with regard to him and she never did. She refused to respond to my DMs.
