Francis Chan Joins Benny Hinn and a Cloister of Nuns (Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary) For Jesus Conference
Francis Chan is once again partnering with an arch-heretic on the preaching circuit. For the upcoming Jesus 24 conference, Chan will join not only Benny Hinn but also Bethel’s Bill Johnson, Christine Caine, and a cloister for Protestant nuns.
The Jesus 24 conference is hosted by Jesus Image, a ministry run by Michael and Jessica Koulianos—Benny’s Hinn’s daughter and son-in-law. While it makes sense that Hinn, Caine, Chan, and Johnson would join forces, being linked by low discernment and a distaste for God’s word, they’re also joined by the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary (ESM), an order of Lutheran Nuns.
The Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary is an ecumenical Lutheran religious organization founded in Germany in 1947 by bible school teachers Klara Schlink and Erika Madauss. These two created the order after seeing a deep need for the Germans to repent for their sins against the Jewish people during the Second World War. They became nuns in 1948 and started calling themselves Mother Basilea and Mother Martyri.
Comprising of over 200 sisters worldwide- the majority still in Germany- the sisterhood “Reject(ed) nearly five centuries of Protestant prejudice against monasticism” and instead embraced “poverty, celibacy, and communal, cloistered life.”
Operating a convent that visitors can pilgrimage to, spending time praying in the prayer garden or attending daily services, the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary has enjoyed close ties with Koulianos and Benny Hinn for years, and now they are being introduced to the Christian body in a greater way.
It’s par for the course for Francis Chan, once a Master’s Seminary grad and now a spiritually squirrely scoundrel who was last seen healing an entire village without the Holy Spirit, butchering church history, praising alongside and and sitting under the tutelage of Benny Hinn, speaking at a Roman Catholic conference, praising false teachers like Todd White and Benny Hinn, claiming that taking communion Is basically like having ‘intercourse’ with Jesus, getting upset that Roman Catholics won’t take communion with him, and recently claiming that the Holy Spirit is moving Baptist and Roman Catholics to worship together and become one big church.
