Protestia was founded in 2020 by the Gideon Knox Group, our rogue but top-notch publishing organization following the Wrecking Ball Method of journalism invented by our founder, Pastor JD Hall. Protestia was a necessary invention, considering that Big Tech fully throttled our longtime flagship site, Pulpit & Pen.
Also, we want to give major props to Protestia’s Editor-in-Chief and longtime P&P contributor, Dustin Germain, who has done a bang-up job with the publication.
Germain’s work allowed JD Hall to focus on his own labor-of-love project, the Montana Daily Gazette which launched with a smashing success and became the #1 online news source in Montana and is largely credited with a massive Red Wave in the primary and general election that served as a search-and-destroy mission of RINOs in the Republican Party, changing the face of Big Sky politics.
The Montana Daily Gazette was also a bit of a capitalist enterprise for Hall, which was lucratively sold to investors (the new owners have retained the Gideon Knox Group as its publisher). With those funds, Hall has retained James White (no, not that James White, another one who is best known for founding Northwest Liberty News). Hall sold the site on the grounds that Gideon Knox maintain control over its religion column, which publishes material from a Reformed Baptist perspective.
Since the Montana Daily Gazette was successfully launched and came to full publishing maturity in short order, with its own Wrecking Ball team, JD is again writing his own personal commentary at Pulpit & Pen because he is now, has always been, and always will be first and foremost a polemicist.
Protestia looks forward to taking flagship status for the Gideon Knox Group, and here are our top ten posts of 2020.
