Transgender Lutheran Pastrix Compares the Death of Trans Shooter to the Crucifixion of Jesus

Less than a week after a disturbed transgender person murdered six people at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, a transgender pastrix delivered a Palm Sunday sermon comparing the death of the shooter to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Micah Lowagie, a biological woman identifying as a male “pastor” (who is also married to a male seminary student who identifies as non-binary) at St Mark’s Lutheran Church in Fargo, North Dakota began her blasphemous sermon by reading the Biblical account of Jesus’ crucifixion, and then immediately launched into a damnable diatribe reminiscent of something Satan would listen to in order to get himself pumped up.

“Instead of focusing on ways this could’ve been prevented, such as gun control, a significant number of people have turned their attention to the shooter’s identity…some folks have tried to focus on eradicating trans people as a solution, because they have been waiting, just waiting for an opportunity such as this. They’ve been waiting for a reason, any reason to stoke their hatred.

Marginalized folks, those of us with the least amount of privilege and power, they need those who have more privilege and power than they do to physically place their bodies between them and the people, powers and institutions that are literally killing them.”

There are countless reasons why her word are wrong and should never be uttered in a church – chiefly being that there is no comparison that can be made between the suffering of the perfect Son of God and a possessed transgender person being killed by police after she had murdered six innocent people. The gender-confused Lutheran “pastor” was not done, however, and went on to compare the Pharisee’s treatment of Jesus to legislators making laws prohibiting children from attending drag shows and banning hospitals from performing transition surgeries for minors.

“Those leaders were looking for any excuse, valid or not, to crucify Jesus, and they found that reason… It’s baffling to me that someone’s existence can be so threatening that people decide they need to be controlled, that they need laws made against them, or even worse, that the people that they find so threatening should die.”

This type of individual occupying the pulpit is troubling, but unsurprising given the trajectory of the ELCA. Protestia has covered at length the apostasy in certain branches of Lutheranism.

A brief look at the Facebook page for St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND reveals that this is one of the most apostate Lutheran churches in the country. Protestia has noticed and already documented the troubling trend of people comparing the suffering of certain individuals with the suffering of Christ this Easter week.

Of course, the issue with this is that we all deserve suffering in our lives because we are sinners. Jesus Christ was not a sinner – He was perfect. He did not deserve any suffering in His life and yet suffered more than any human being has ever suffered when He died on a cross. So let’s just stop with the comparisons.
