The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) is a raging dumpster fire of blasphemy and perversion. Given their love of everything Antichristic, it is no exaggeration to say that sitting through an actual church service at one of their pagan temples is a foretaste of the hell that awaits them if they don’t repent. This brings us to Lura Groen, the pastrix of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Columbia, MD. She is quite possibly the grossest clergy we’ve ever written about, claiming that Jesus was trying to SEDUCE the woman at the well, that there are lesbian angels’ who ‘consensually’ flirt with queer christian women, and comparing the mystery of the Trinity to the luridness of sadomasochism and BDSM.
Last we wrote about her, she was praising and endorsing hookups, premarital sex, and polyamory.
Though some may want to dismiss her as a crackpot loon, Groen isn’t a nobody, even though it wouldn’t matter if she were. Instead, she continues to rise in the ranks through the ELCA. Three years ago, she was elected to the Discipline Committee of the Delaware-Maryland Synod, where she enjoys a close friendship with the Bishop. She has also spoken on at least one panel with Elizabeth Eaton, the head of the ELCA. Those in power know who she is and how she behaves and are entirely and utterly supportive.
In a recent Twitter thread, Groen found herself triggered over the suggestion that straight marriage sexual ethics are superior to queer relationships, and she went off.
Because there is no limiting factor within the ELCA, she is the next natural evolution.

She will have an infinite amount of time in Hell to reflect on the fact that her prideful opinion is irrelevant. There’s nothing ethical about leading and encouraging others to eternal damnation. Nobody has an obligation, ethical, moral or otherwise, to respect her opinion as if it were superior to the truth of God’s Word. Come judgment day, she can try to tell God why He is wrong, and why she’s superior to Him. In the meantime, she and those of the same mind can wail, gnash their teeth, and bellyache all they want, I’m not hearing it. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
I could not wrap my head around this one – is Satan really operating so openly in some of these ‘churches?’ (I use the term most loosely).
There is nothing Godly about this loathsome individual – absolutely disgusting.
That last post where she discussed ‘salvation’ was an eye-opener. Beside the unnecessary foul language, we are responsible for our own salvation that is more than just faith in Jesus. It used to be so much easier.
I see a dead person, may she believe and repent. About the only thing this woman has going for here is she’s still breathing and has nice teeth. And may the dumpster fire burn to the ground.
