9 Minute Video of Andy Stanley Attacking the Bible and the Old Testament
With the news that Andy Stanley’s North Point Community Church has become a cesspool filled with LGBTQ+ affirming pastors, leaders, ministries, guest speakers, and conferences, it’s unsurprising that as more stones are overturned, more deviant theology emerges.

In a new video from a lecture Stanley gave at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2019, he makes a series of audacious claims about the bible, saying that it must not be our foundation for the faith, but rather the resurrection of Jesus must be as revealed in the gospels.
He notes that he stopped saying “the bible says” a decade ago, that “defending the entire bible is the wrong place to dig our trenches and mount our defenses” and that “the only documents we should ever feel pressure to defend is not the bible…but the gospels.”
Andy long ago jumped the theological shark and has apparently fully surrendered to the world at his (and his congregation’s) own peril. Sad.
Andy Stanley is one of the worst Christians today as he doesn’t just try to twist Scripture, but he throws the entire Bible out the door. The problem is that without Scripture, how can you even know what is true and holy. So what if someone believes in Jesus, if you don’t have the written word to guide you, then you’re no better off than those who believe in Santa Clause.
It’s adorable that you spelled it “Clause”.
What Andy Stanely seems to miss is that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is simply an interesting historical anomaly if true but only is given meaning thru special revelation (The Bible).
“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.”
-1 Corinthians 15:3
Fellow ministers, we need to restore confidence in the Bible by faithfully preaching it while praying that the Holy Spirit will open blinded eyes to see.
How different is the apostle Paul’s inspired imperative to ministers than Stanley’s.
“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”
-2 Timothy 4:1-5
Without the Bible, what is Jesus ?
Just some fanatic that may – or may not – have lived 2000 years ago. This is little better than New Age with no clear, unshakeable foundation.
This is destruction on a wholesale scale
