Brian Houston Rejoices at ‘Not Guilty’ Verdict, Announces His Next Plans

Brian Houston has been crooning and crowing after being acquitted on charges that he concealed his father’s sexual abuse of a minor by not reporting it to the police. It’s an odd boast, given that he did conceal it and did not go to the police after learning that his father was a pedophile. Still, Sydney Court Magistrate Gareth Christofi ruled that Houston had a “reasonable excuse” for his inaction, saying that he believed Houston’s testimony that he stayed silent because the victim did not want him to say anything.

While it may be true that the victim did not want Houston to go to the police, (the victim denies this) this does not excuse Houston’s moral culpability. By failing to inform law enforcement and get his father off the streets, Frank was free to travel, preach and teach for many years, and who knows how many more children the serial pedophile abused and molested in the meantime.

Houston, who was recently discovered to have been spending his former congregant’s tithe money on disgustingly lavish meals, hotels and entertainment (see end-notes) wrote on an Instagram post: “Finally I was vindicated by an In-depth judgment which compellingly pulled apart the prosecution’s arguments one by one.”

He also criticized the media for “building narrative on a completely false premise regarding the circumstances” and “intentionally misled(ing) people with a narrative hell bent on discrediting an influential church and turning a noble name into a bad name.”

As far as his future plans, Houston told Sky News that at 69 he’s too young to retire and will likely leave the country he’s spent most of his life ministering in for other preaching and teaching opportunities:

“I love Australia, Bobbie and I we both love Australia, but Australia in many ways hasn’t loved us. And that makes me very sad, but it’s the truth, and so we’re in a state of flux. I think we will be spending more time overseas where potentially there’s a lot more opportunity for us.”

  1. Most adults would have the self respect to just take the win and shuffle off to obscurity.

But not these NAR clowns. They don’t know when to quit the grift ….
