Russell Moore and David French To Speak on ‘How Evangelism Lost Its Way’ at Gay-Affirming Church
In a move that should surprise no one, NYT columnist David ‘Drag-queen-story-hours-are-a- blessing- of liberty’ French and Russell ‘I-love-the-enneagram’ Moore are attending the Texas Tribune Platform Festival, a noxiously progressive paper that is hosting a series of events well-suited to the likes of these two.
The former ERLC head and current Editor-in-chief of Christianity Today Astray will be interviewed by French on his upcoming book Losing Our Religion: An Altar Call for Evangelical America”. The two will condescendingly commiserate on how “evangelicalism lost its way” without ever mentioning that they were both instrumental in throwing away the compass and burning the map.
The event is taking place at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas, a gay-affirming church that gives visitors name tags with LGBTQ rainbow stickers. Here, Moore will do his one-sided riffing where he only throws punches to the right while tossing red meat to the left, seeking to stand above the fray while scampering around in search of pagan approval.

But of course it is taking place at an Episcopal Church which is one of the most apostate churches in the world. I will never forget when I played the organ at one for a very short time (thankfully – I had no idea what they “preached”), they were holding an “interfaith Thanksgiving service” one evening. Normally I would have cleared my schedule to play the extra service, but something told me “don’t play that service” so I declined and someone else played. I saw the program a few days before it was held. That service included satanists, hindus, muslims, wiccans and universalists. I still remember standing in the sanctuary reading the program and my reaction to it. Thankfully I had already turned in my notice and was leaving the end of the next month.
The Episcopal Church doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ of the Bible. They believe in a Jesus who held a “protest march” for his entry into Jerusalem on the donkey and wanted to have the children make protest signs to hold up (thankfully that didn’t happen.) I heard the deacon use foul language from the pulpit to express his anger why people weren’t listening to the twit that is Greta Thunberg. One person with no training or preaching background spent her (yes, a woman) sermon blasting Donald Trump.
Sadly while these things were happening people just sat there and didn’t do a thing even after the profanity when children were present. Those same people (who the majority I now know are conservative) still sit there doing nothing. Well, they are. They aren’t standing for God and His Word.

Let them truly know who You are, Your love, Your warnings if they continue on this course they could be eternally separated from You. Even if in this world, which is not our home, we worship You in gatherings of other believers underground, in a hut, outside singing Your praises that You alone will be glorified. Do not keep Yours from gathering together in Your presence and give us Your strength as each of us are gifted according to Your purpose. Lord we praise and love You in every circumstance. You are our Creator and let us focus our eyes on You alone. Keep us from allowing Satan a foothold of anger, fear and disappointment in our lives. Satan wants to destroy those of us that are Yours and destroy our witness by actions not from You. You are the only One that can give each of us peace, love and joy in our life.
