Bizzare! Bethel Pastrix Leads Congregants To Pray to Their Own Bodies for Forgiveness

Bethel church is a weird place. We’ve covered them at length, from An Inside Peek into Bethel’s Demonic ‘Fountain of Youth Fire Tunnels’, to the claims that  Bethel Prophet Reveals Miracle of ‘Second Virginity’: ‘Hundreds of Hymens Grew Back’, to Bethel Leader Bill Johnson Denies Scripture – ‘God Doesn’t Control Everything’. We expressed our dismay that they are working towards a $100 million dollar Apostolic Training Center and recoiled with disgust after Bethel Patrix Tells Congregants to just ‘Make Up Prophecies’ if they Don’t Hear from God, the time when Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry Promotes Mystical Enneagram, and lastly when Bethel Alum Claims Jesus Gave Her a Ring & Asked Her to Marry Him,

It’s no surprise then that Dawna DeSilva, an ordained pastrix (because there’s no such thing as a woman pastor) at Bethel and co-founder of Bethel Sozo would want to get into the action. Bethel Sozo is a “healing” and “deliverance” ministry and has a heavy emphasis on creating spiritual ‘atmospheres’ and how to “shift” them.

In this case, DeSilva led congregants in a creepy prayer to asking their bodies to ‘forgive’ them so that they can be healed, and not have their bodies so mad at them.

“I think sometimes we are locked in a prison of unforgiveness because our bodies are mad at us. Or we are mad at our bodies. How many bodies are screaming at us all the time? It’s called pain. It’s called sickness. It’s called disease.

So close your eyes. Say ‘Holy Spirit, is my body mad at me?’ If you heard ‘yes’ stand up.

(Insert fake ‘tongues’ sounds here)

I have seen so many people healed when they’ve been prayed for and prayed for and prayed for, when they release this prayer. And I know it sounds weird, but just do this.

Say “body, I ask you to forgive me for any way I have mistreated you. For any way I have let you down, ignored you and made you scream louder. I say to ‘the just buck up spirit’ I’m done partnering with you. You have harmed my body, And I command you off of me. Body will you forgive me?

How many of you heard ‘Yes’? Yeah, so say ‘body, as you forgive me, let’s step out of prison and into the possibilities of healing.’

This echoes the teaching she made back in December 2017, telling congregants at Bethel Church that years ago she and her husband were ministering to a young man, and all of a sudden she heard his body screaming at him, over and over again, and only she could hear it. She recounts:

And I (asked him) ‘Is it possible that your body is mad at you?’ My husband’s eyes are like this big around. He’s like, ‘What weird thing is my wife about to do?” This guy says, ‘oh, yeah, my body has been screaming at me for the last 10 minutes.’

I’m like “yeah, I hear it screaming.”

I think sometimes we are locked in a prison of unforgiveness because our bodies are mad at us. Or we are mad at our bodies. Because unforgiveness works the same way. Whether it’s someone else you’re mad at, or you being mad at you. And think about your body, soul and spirit.

Is it not possible that maybe, just maybe, your body is really frustrated with you because you’ve not been taking care of it? Maybe your body’s mad at you and your body’s “like yeah, no, we’re not gonna get healed because if you get healed, you’re just gonna wear me out again.” How many bodies are screaming at us all the time?

…I know it sounds weird but just do this, say “body, I ask you to forgive me for any way I have mistreated you, for any way I have let you down, ignored you, and made you scream louder…Yeah, body, will you forgive me?”

  1. Hands and arms, please forgive me for getting all dirty, I know it’s racist because it darkened my skin, I’m guilty of black-face only with the arms instead.
Anyway, I’m sorry arms and hands, I need some anti-racist counselors to straighten me out, until then—sorry! 😭😭😭😭
