Roman Catholic Church Defends Controversial Academy Appointment ‘She’s “Pro-Choice” but not “Pro-Abortion”’

Last month Pope Francis named several members to the Pontifical Academy for Life, a Roman Catholic pro-life organization dedicated to “study, information and formation on the principal problems of biomedicine and of law, relative to the promotion and defense of life.” While most are run-of-the-mill scholars, several were discovered to be rabidly pro-choice, such as Mariana Mazzucato.

In response to the criticism, The president of the Pontifical Academy of Life, Archbishop Vincenzo Pagli defended Mazzucato and other questionable appointments, intoning that her tweets may have been “pro-choice”, but that doesn’t mean they were “pro-abortion.” Instead, he argues that the members :

“have at heart the value of human life in their area of expertise…they are not all Catholics and do not profess all the tenets of the Catholic faith. And we know there are differences on the level of ethics, but they defend life in its entirety….

(With Muzzacato) our vetting showed that in her scientific work she has never taken a position against life. You cannot judge the deepest convictions of a person by four tweets.

This is typical stuff for the aging commie, who has been busy appointing a notorious pro-LBGTQ priest to a major role, affirming the faith of Joe Biden and saying he would never refuse him communion, instituting ‘vaccine ‘passports’ at Vatican City, endorsing civil unions for gay couples, hating on anti-maskers and those urging caution at taking the COVID vaccine and releasing his most outrageously blasphemous statement.

Pope Francis Appoints Rabid Pro-Choicer to Pro-Life Organization

Pope Francis has named several members to the Pontifical Academy for Life, a Roman Catholic pro-life organization dedicated to “study, information and formation on the principal problems of biomedicine and of law, relative to the promotion and defense of life.” While most are run of the mill scholars, one name stands out: economist Mariana Mazzucato.

Mazzucato is rabidly pro-choice, having spent the better part of the last six months tweeting out against the overturning of Roe v. Wade and her support for abortion. According to Catholic Culture:

  • On June 23, the eve of the decision, she retweeted a tweet by Robert Reich: “So states can decide you must carry a fetus but not whether you can carry a concealed gun?”
  • On June 24, the day of the decision, she retweeted a tweet by Nicola Sturgeon: “One of the darkest days for women’s rights in my lifetime. Obviously the immediate consequences will be suffered by women in the US—but this will embolden anti-abortion & anti-women forces in other countries too. Solidarity doesn’t feel enough right now—but it is necessary.”
  • On June 24, she retweeted a tweet by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus: “Safe #abortion is health care. It saves lives. Restricting it drives women and girls towards unsafe abortions, resulting in complications, even death. The evidence is irrefutable.”
  • On June 25, she tweeted, “So good!” in commenting on an anti-Christian harangue about abortion.
  • On June 25, she tweeted, “Excellent @ewarren” in reaction to comments about abortion made by pro-abortion Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
  • On July 2, she retweeted a tweet by Bloomberg Quicktake: “‘Safe abortion is health care. It saves lives.’ Earlier this week, WHO’s @DrTedros blasted the Supreme Court’s decision to end the constitutional right to an abortion as a ‘setback’ for the decades-long trend toward safer access.”
  • On July 3, she retweeted a tweet by Robert Reich: “Call me a radical lefty, but I think it should be easier to get a life-saving abortion than an assault rifle.”

They further explain that “According to the Pontifical Academy for Life’s revised statutes, promulgated by Pope Francis in 2016, ordinary members “are appointed for a term of five years by the Holy Father, after hearing the opinion of the Governing Council and on the basis of their academic qualifications, proven professional integrity, professional expertise and faithful service in the defence and promotion of the right to life of every human person”

And yet this is who Francis has personally appointed to the team? This does not surprise us in the least.

This is stuff for the aging commie, who has been busy appointing a notorious pro-LBGTQ priest to a major role, affirming the faith of Joe Biden and saying he would never refuse him communion, instituting ‘vaccine ‘passports’ at Vatican City, endorsing civil unions for gay couples, hating on anti-maskers and those urging caution at taking the COVID vaccine and releasing his most outrageously blasphemous statement.

A Timeline of Pope Francis Moving the Catholic Church Towards Homosexual Acceptance

A couple of days ago, we shard that Pope Francis reappointed a notorious pro-LGBTQ priest to major 5-year post. The lucky man was Jesuit priest James Martin, a very prominent American Roman Catholic known for having an outreach ministry for proud and open LGBTQ Catholics. In fact, it was just two months ago that Martin was urging the Roman Catholic Church to start celebrating PRIDE month.

Last year he wrote a Twitter thread explaining that “Pope Francis has done more for #LGBTQ people than any pope. But he does so step by step. Two years ago today I met with him to speak about LGBT Catholics, and he asked me to continue my ministry. Often, however, people don’t notice these small steps, which add up to a sea change in the Catholic Church’s approach to LGBTQ people.”

Accordingly, he offers 12 important steps the decrepit pontiff has has made since his election in 2013, excitedly salivating in the ways that Francis is moving the church closer and closer into full inclusion and acceptance of LBGTQ folk into the flock.

1. When asked about gay priests in 2013, Pope Francis uttered perhaps the five most famous words of his papacy: “Who am I to judge?” With those words, he also became the first pope to use the word “gay” in such a public setting.

2. During his pastoral visit to the United States in 2015, Pope Francis met with his former student, Yayo Grassi, who is gay, and Mr. Grassi’s same-sex partner.

3. In his 2016 apostolic exhortation “Amoris Laetitia” (“The Joy of Love”), Francis wrote that when ministering to LGBT people, we should “before all else” affirm their human dignity as well as the church’s desire to oppose violence against them.

4. In 2016, on an in-flight press conference returning from Azerbaijan, Pope Francis encouraged a ministry of “accompaniment” of LGBTQ people, saying that Jesus would never tell a gay person, “Go away from me because you are homosexual.”

5. On an in-flight press conference in 2018, returning from the World Meeting of Families in Ireland, the Holy Father said that LGBT children should never be kicked out of their families and encouraged families to love and accept them.

6. His 30-minute meeting with me in the Apostolic Palace in September 2019, was listed on his official public schedule and accompanied by photographs from the Vatican, a sign of his support for LGBTQ ministry overall.

7. In 2019, Vatican officials and rights group discussed decriminalizing homosexuality

8. In 2020, while defending traditional church teaching on marriage as between a man and woman, Pope Francis nonetheless signaled his support for legal protections for civil unions in a documentary film.

9. Also last year, he offered his support for Sister Mónica Astorga, an Argentine sister who had worked with transgender people for 14 years, saying, “God, who did not go to seminary or study theology, will repay you abundantly.”

10. This March, he appointed Juan Carlos Cruz, an openly gay man and a clergy abuse survivor and advocate, to a high-level Vatican commission. In 2018, Mr. Cruz had earlier reported that Francis had told him “God made you this way.”

11. In June, he wrote a warm letter on the occasion of the Outreach LGBTQ Catholic Ministry webinar, and also promised his prayers for this “flock” of LGBTQ people.

12. In a conversation with Jesuits in Slovakia last month, he encouraged them to reach out pastorally to “homosexual couples,” not just LGBTQ individuals.

Martin writes:

“Taken together, we can see how Francis’s approach to LGBTQ people is one of pastoral accompaniment, moving slowly, avoiding the dramatic statements that some people may want and setting limits. His focus is always on encouraging the pastoral care of LGBTQ individuals, defending them against violence and supporting those who minister with them, in new ways that would have not been countenanced by his predecessors.

Pope Pitter-Patters Around Indigenous Pagans

In a recent trip to Quebec City, Canada, Pope Francis addressed the so-called scourge of “Christian Nationalism,” criticizing those who have dared to influence non-Christian public institutions with Christian beliefs.

He (God) does not want to make decisions for us or oppress us with a sacral power, exercised in a world governed by religious laws. No! He created us to be free, and he asks us to be mature and responsible persons in life and in society.

Previously Francis, who when asked to make a judgment on whether homosexuality is permissible within the church, made the infamous statement, “Who am I to judge?” has persistently pushed leftist antinomian positions within the Catholic church.

Francis visited Quebec City to apologize on behalf of the Catholic church for sexual abuse against indigenous peoples, along with practices of the church and Canadian government authorities that contributed to the “eradication of indigenous cultures”. While the Pope certainly should apologize for abuse, the idea that scriptural teachings that call all men to repentance and faith in Christ should be subordinated to pagan indigenous religious practices in the name of politically correct cultural relativism is patently absurd. Christ is Lord over all, including the indigenous peoples.

Francis urged leaders in the Catholic Church to refrain from imposing the church’s beliefs on a secular society but rather to use “pastoral creativity” and utilize “mercy that silently speaks of Christ.” The words of Francis reflect the false teaching of St. Francis of Assisi, who famously said, “Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words.” The idea that Gospel proclamation can be made in the absence of a verbal scripturally-based Gospel-centric framework is patently false. Silent Evangelism doesn’t appear in the New Testament because God has prescribed Evangelism through the proclamation of scripture.

 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:14-17

Ironically, while advocating for a pietistic posture towards society, Francis lamented the increasing secularization of many Catholics, who live as if God is of no consequence.

God seems to have disappeared from the horizon, and his word no longer seems a compass guiding our lives, our basic decisions, our human and social relationships.

It would seem that pietist views within the Catholic church that place artificial boundaries between religious belief and the creation of law would ultimately lead some Catholics to also divorce the doctrine that they hear at Mass from the way that they live in everyday life.

Pope Francis Says Biden’s Love for Abortion is Between Him and His ‘Conscience’

Pope Francis has commented on Biden’s apparent love of abortion- manifested by publicly supporting it and passing laws and executive orders to see it further entrenched- saying that he view’s the President’s position as “incoherent.”

Rather than making any further statement about it, or elaborate on how he himself is so easily able to flout Roman Catholic doctrine by giving Biden the Eucharist, along with his priest, despite being in mortal sin, Francis explained that “I leave it to his conscience and that he speaks to his bishop, his pastor, his parish priest about that inconsistency.

According to CNS news Correspondent Junno Arocho Esteves:

#Pope was also asked about Speaker Nancy Pelosi, receiving Communion at Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica despite being barred from receiving in her home diocese. The pope warned that when shepherds lose “pastoral dimension, it creates a political problem.”

Pope Francis Explains Why He Gave Communion to Pro-Abortion Nancy Pelosi

Last month, in a rare showing that the Roman Catholic Church, led by the insufferably heretical Pope Francis, is not just a bloated corpse of Mariology and malaise, American Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, who leads the archdiocese of San Francisco where Pelosi attends mass, announced that she would be subsequently barred from taking the eucharist on account of her rabidly pro-abortion ways, which are considered known mortal sins within the Roman Catholic faith.

At the time, he explained that a “Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others” and told her:

“You are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance.

But Francis doesn’t care. He’s on record saying, “I Have Never Refused the Eucharist to Anyone,” and has expressly thwarted the instruction of Cordileone who is acting according to the Catholic Catechism, ultimately sending a message to Pelosi not to listen to her archbishop and to keep on her crooked path.

Last week while visiting the Vatican, Nancy Pelosi met with the Pope briefly and then soon after was given communion, despite her lamentable wickedness and openly repudiating Roman Catholic teachings for years, functioning as a living emblem of what openly defying ones church looks like. She’s not Roman Catholic by their standards and should have been excommunicated decades ago, but Francis doesn’t care.

In an hour and a half interview with Reuters, where he also denied plans to retire soon and where he was asked why he gave her communion, Francis condemned the actions of her archbishop, saying:

“When the Church loses its pastoral nature, when a bishop loses his pastoral nature, it causes a political problem. That’s all I can say.”

This is stuff for the aging commie, who has been busy affirming the faith of Joe Biden and saying he would never refuse him communion, instituting ‘vaccine ‘passports’ at Vatican City, endorsing civil unions for gay couples, hating on anti-maskers and those urging caution at taking the COVID vaccine and releasing his most outrageously blasphemous statement.

Pope Francis Ranks 7 Deadly Sins, says ‘Sins of the Flesh’ aren’t That Serious

Last we wrote about Pope Francis, he was calling BLM Rioters ‘Social Poets’ and ‘Collective Samaritans’ For Protesting Racist Death of George Floyd during a video call at the World Meeting of Popular Movements, where the chief papist insisted on universal basic income, praised the BLM rioters as ‘social poets’ while insisting their demonstrations were keeping Geoge Floyd’s legacy alive in a way that is akin to the story of the ‘Good Samaritan’.

Typical stuff for the aging commie, who has been busy affirming the faith of Joe Biden and saying he would never refuse him communion, instituting ‘vaccine ‘passports’ at Vatican City, endorsing civil unions for gay couples, hating on anti-maskers and those urging caution at taking the COVID vaccine and releasing his most outrageously blasphemous statement.

In his newest foray into some questionable theology, Pope Francis ranked some wrongdoings and suggested that sexual sins such as adultery or fornication aren’t that ‘serious.’ He made the comments after accepting the resignation of Paris Archbishop Michel Aupetit, who got a little frisky with his secretary and caused a furor within the dioces, trying to put the priest’s actions into context.

“It was a failing. A failing against the sixth commandment (You shall not commit adultery) but not a total one. One of small caresses, massage given to his secretary — that is what the accusation is. There is a sin there but not the worst kind. The sins of the flesh are not the most serious. The most serious ones are sins like pride, hatred. These are the most serious sins.”

Francis went on to explain that he accepted the Archbishop’s resignation not because he actually did anything wrong, but because the controversy made overseeing nearly impossible and the rumors too damaging to his reputation.

“He was condemned but by whom? By public opinion, by gossip … He could no longer govern. I accepted the resignation of Aupetit not on the altar of truth, but on the altar of hypocrisy.”

Pope Demands that Big Tech Censor ‘Hate Speech’ and ‘Conspiracy Theories’

Last we wrote about Pope Francis called BLM Rioters ‘Social Poets’ and ‘Collective Samaritans’ For Protesting Racist Death of George Floyd during a video call at the World Meeting of Popular Movements, where the chief papist insisted on universal basic income, praised the BLM rioters as ‘social poets’ while insisting their demonstrations were keeping Geoge Floyd’s legacy alive in a way that is akin to the story of the ‘Good Samaritan’.

We missed one section, however, which is where he invoked the name of God to punctuate his plea, asking Silicon Valley giants like Facebook, Twitter and Google to continue following their better demons and take action against what may or may not be ‘hate speech, ‘conspiracy theories’ or ‘fake news.’

According to Summit News, ‘Pope Francis also invoked the term “post-truth,” which was invented by establishment media organs after they began to lose their monopoly on controlling the narrative following the election of Donald Trump. The Catholic leader apparently believes it’s Christian and Godly to empower giant corporations to shut down free speech. This is no surprise given his previous stance on free speech in response to the slaughter of the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists, when he rhetorically sided with the terrorists who murdered them in cold blood.”

Pope Calls for ‘Ecological Spirituality’ to care for ‘Mother Earth’

The capitalism-hating, socialism-loving Vicar of the Roman Catholic Church has come up with a seven-year plan to greenify the world and heal “Mother Earth” on account of the “wounds that we cause by our predatory attitude, which makes us feel that we are masters of the planet and its resources,” in order to “inaugurate a lifestyle and a society that is finally eco-sustainable.”

This new venture from Pope Francis is unsurprising, as the pontiff has been effusive with his flattery and worshipful praise of mother Gaia, joining with pagans to worship a topless earth goddess, saying that fossil fuels are immoral and should be banned, suggesting that God will flood the world again if we don’t stop global warming, and arguing that we need to ditch capitalism so that we don’t kill the planet and each other.

In a video released by the Vatican, Francis explains that because humanity has been so abusive towards the earth, “we need a new ecological approach, that can transform our way of dwelling in the world, our styles of life, our relationship with the resources of the Earth and, in general, our way of looking at humanity and of living life.”

Doubling down on the theme of predation, he reiterates that we need to “care for our Mother Earth” and “overcome the temptation of selfishness that makes us predators of resources.”

For this reason, he’s launching a project called “Laudato si’ Action Platform.” It is a seven-year undertaking designed to see communities “totally sustainable, in the spirit of integral ecology.”

It is based on his own Laudato Si’s writing, which even has its own chaplet for faithful Catholics to pray over

And not just praise, but repentance too, where you can apologize to “Sister Water” or “Brother Air” for abusing them.

Like some grotesque morphing of Roman Catholicism, the New Apostolic Reformation’s Seven-Mountain Mandate, and the Democrats’ Green New Deal, Francis reveals that there are seven sectors of the church that need to be pulling together. These are “parishes and dioceses – schools and universities – hospitals – businesses and farms – organizations, groups and movements – religious institutes.”

In tandem with this announcement, Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development revealed the sustainability goals of the Laudato Si’ Action Platform, which include, according to the National Catholic Reporter:

  • Adopting renewable energy;
  • Achieving carbon neutrality;
  • Defending all life;
  • Solidarity with Indigenous peoples and vulnerable groups;
  • Adopting simpler lifestyles;
  • Fostering ecological education and spirituality;
  • Advocating for sustainable development;
  • Following ethical investment guidelines, including divestment from fossil fuels and other industries that harm the planet.

All this, so “mother Earth may be restored to her original beauty.’

Pope Francis Calls for ‘New World Order’ (Literally) in Post-Pandemic World

Pope Francis has called for the creation of a “new world order” in order to properly navigate and survive a post-pandemic world, according to his new book released today.

Titled God and the World to Come, the Pontiff sat down with Italian journalist Domenico Agasso and made his plea for the “great reset.” The book hits on all the progressive papal platitudes we’ve come to expect from the unusually feisty Francis, including ragging on fossil fuels, capitalism, and military buildup.

Instead of these things, he says we must create an inclusive future that promotes radical environmental and economic policies.

We can no longer blithely accept inequalities and disruptions to the environment. The path to humanity’s salvation passes through the creation of a new model of development, which unquestionably focuses on coexistence among peoples in harmony with Creation…There is also an awareness among young people, particularly within ecological movements. If we don’t roll up our sleeves and immediately take care of the Earth, with radical personal and political choices, with an economic ‘green’ turn by directing technological developments in this direction, sooner or later our common home will throw us out the window. We cannot waste any more time.

Then, echoing what Rham Emmanuel said during the 2018 financial crisis (“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”) Francis explains:

The world will never be the same again. But it is precisely within this calamity that we must grasp those signs which may prove to be the cornerstones of reconstruction…Let us all keep in mind that there is something worse than this crisis: the drama of wasting it. We cannot emerge from a crisis the same as before: we either come out better or we come out worse…What is happening can awaken everyone. It is time to remove social injustice and marginalization. If we seize the current trial as an opportunity, we can prepare for tomorrow under the banner of human fraternity.

It is this utopia that we ought to pursue, and must not waste it by “closing in on ourselves.” This will how we obtain a new world order.

Instead, we can heal injustice by building a new world order based on solidarity, studying innovative methods to eradicate bullying, poverty and corruption, all working together, each for their own part, without delegating and passing the buck. Also by working to provide healthcare for all. In this way, by practicing and demonstrating social cohesion, we will be able to rise again.
