Megachurch Pastor Charges $36,000/year for Marriage Counseling, Retreats

A megachurch pastor is offering destination mariage counselling for $36,000. Is this a scam, or is it impossible to put a price on a good marriage?

Pastor Keith Craft of Elevate Life Church, a non-denominational megachurch in Texas, has one heck of a side hustle, offering “Life Mastery” courses for a mere $84,000 per year—but only to those who have established a multi-million-dollar net worth and annualized earnings of $1,000,000+.

If you can’t afford that, however, you can join the waitlist to become an “Elite Mastermind,” which is $24,000 per year. If one is unwilling to pay that kind of money, they can sign up to join the GOAT Farm, which is a “Kingdom-minded coaching community for high-capacity leaders committed to becoming the Greatest of All Time in every area of life” that “only” costs $12,000 a year.

But what if your marriage needs a bit of stregthening?

Craft has a solution for you, offering a “Winning in Marriage Couples Mastermind.” He explains:

“Grow the relationship of your dreams in the Couple’s Mastermind. Through experiential couples’ trips, you will grow a deeper connection with your spouse. Trips include marriage-focused impartation from Keith & Sheila Craft with worksheets to help in practical application.”

And

“This Mastermind is a vetted group of kingdom-minded couples who come together four times per year…Led by Keith and Sheila Craft, the Winning in Marriage Mastermind is designed to help couples achieve their personal and professional goals while strengthening their marriages and families.”

The cost? Only $36,000 per year. For this sum, members are invited to attend four different trips a year at one of his homes—either in Destin, Florida, or in Durango, Colorado—for 2½ days of “world-class impartation, fun activities, and inspiring connection with fellow members.”

The flights to and back from his home aren’t covered, that’s a separate expense, but the Crafts will cover meals, lodging, and, strangley, only “most activities.”

Members will also get free registration for two events: Keith Craft’s Grow Day, which is a one-day (more like six-hour) “leadership experience for entrepreneurs, leaders, and visionaries,” normally a $99 value, as well as an invite to his “Mastermind” Christmas party.

Here is a preview of some of these talks.
