Erika Kirk, wife of the late TPSUA founder Charlie Kirk, publicly forgave her husband’s killer, Tyler Robinson, during his memorial service.
Speaking ten days after his death, she told tens of millions of people watching:
“My husband Charlie, he wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life. That young man- on the cross our savior said “Father forgive them for they not know what they do. That man, I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and is what Charlie would do. The ansewer to hate is not hate, the answer we know from the gospel is love, and always love. Love for our enemies, and love for those who persecute us.”
“That young man who took my husband’s life, I forgive him.”

Its very unchristian to do. He is not repentant. To forgive him makes him think he doesn’t have to repent. It gives him the illusion God forgave him to. But maybe that’s the goal, to damn his soul. But its evil and wicked because it emboldens more killers. Everyone who goes on TV and forgives the murderer of a family member should be by law and by the state punished with at least a fine to prevent this anti-social behavior of emboldening murderers.
Of course she forgives him, because she knows he didn’t do it because it was Israel that did it.
I’ve seen posts about this that go to the extreme in both direction. Some saying Christians must always forgive regardless of whether or not there is repentance. And others saying Christians should never forgive devoid of repentance. And both are wrong, according to scripture.
I watched the entire service yesterday. A few things were said by a couple of speakers that I didn’t necessarily agree with. But overall I thought it was very good, especially for all who put the Lord first, and boldly proclaimed the Gospel. Those who stood up and said, look politics is only useful up to a point, but ultimately the only real solution is Jesus Christ. Only He can change hearts. Overall, they had their priorities in order. The Lord first, then family, and then country. Ordo amoris. That’s very important. I could go on …
But this is not the time for nitpicking and critiquing everything that was said and done. I believe we should leave those debates for another day. She did not do anything grievously wrong, so let it go. We’ll have that discussion another time. And we had that discussion not long ago, when an article was posted here concerning the very issue of when and whether or not to forgive, and what scripture requires of us. This is not the time. Charlie’s widow has been through enough. She did not do anything grievously wrong, and she doesn’t need to be raked over the coals and have every word scrutinized and critiqued. Don’t be a busybody. Let God deal with it.
The murderer must be executed. Charlie Kirk himself said scripture commands murderers be executed. His wife is disrespecting him and scripture. She is rejecting her head. She is a bad wife.
This is not only about her. The news media has made forgiving murderers on TV into a Satanic Sacrament. A real Christian will stand up to it and say “No.” Jesus told Peter to forgive his brother of sins only against himself, not to forgive murderers who sin against all society. Murder is not included in the command to forgive a brother. And the murderer is not a brother in any sense. Stop behaving the way the kabal of media personalities demands. Stop kneejerk following the behavior the news programs you to follow. Stop and use your brain.
Forgiving MURDER is wrong. Forgiving RAPE is wrong. Christ meant something far less than that. If you forgive those things, you are Antichrist. That is not your place. You cannot forgive on behalf of the murdered for sure. Check your role sluts.
Even if you forgive a murderer, you should not tell him so. He doesn’t need to know. And other murderers don’t need to know. Stop emboldening murder.
