An Indiana pastor and his wife are asking for prayers after their six year old daughter suffered brain damage and lost an eye in a freak lawnmower accident. “
According to a social media post by friends of the family:
This past Thursday Jared Williams (who pastors First Baptist Church in Tipton, Indiana) was out mowing his lawn while Mallie played in a far corner away from the mower. Something flew out from under the mower and hit Mallie on the left side of her face. It sliced from her nose up. They took her to emergency for what they thought was just stitches.
It turned out to be worse, however
A CT-scan showed the eye was also sliced with pieces of it missing. A piece of her brow bone broke off and pierced her brain. Mallie has undergone multiple surgeries. The doctors tried to save her left eye but couldn’t. Yesterday, they were able to take the tube out from her being intubated and placed her in a hospital room, out of ICU.
Yesterday, the couple shared a welcome update, revealing that “God’s hand has been evident in every step and detail.”
Our focus has been on the orbital/skull fracture and damage to brain and impact site. The neuro-team with the ophthalmologists came to agree that the only next step was brain surgery. They performed the surgery and were able to get the bone and fragment removed as well as reconstruct the orbital roof and reinforce with titanium plates. The surgeon said it went as good as hoped.
They conclude:
We are now praying for the eye tissue to shrink back into the socket. Next big step is working with the ophthalmologists to discuss the options in regards to either removing all of the eye tissue or hoping that tissue will heal enough to fill the void as well as prosthetic options. I couldn’t sleep hardly at all last night because of what God has done.
There are many details that came together that almost did not. She is communicating through squeezes, nods, and some words. She ate a couple of bites of scrambled eggs this am. God is so good and I’m so grateful for the saints that joined together with us. Thank you!!!!
Friends of the couple have launched a GoFundMe to help raise support to take care of her, and we’d ask that the saints continue to pray for the family and consider donating to these brothers and sisters in need.

A worn out Bible most often belongs to some one who isnt. Need a prayer for how your thinking about this ? Perhaps your Bitter or crtical Read all of 1 Corinthians 13 are you doubting because of this read Mathew 8:36 or Hebrews 11. Has your faith failed you because of things like this. Read psalms 4:25 Hebrews 11. Perhaps your afraid because of this happening to her? Read
Psalm34:4 or Mathew 6:19-34 also 2 Timothy 1:7 and top it off with Hebrews 13:5 and 6.
Why take the risk ? Faith in Jesus is the only way to heaven for infants to. Get your little infant baptised . And here a true fact all people only are able to even read a bible because God wanted people who were baptised as little infants to do the saving of his Holy word. God worked that in them to save it for you . So stop and actually read what the bible itself says what baptism does. baptism is Gods invention not mans . Understand christianity is a good place you can find out about it . .Baptist pastors are only great at explaning away baptism and lords supper bible passages . if you want that you might as well tear out all the passages about Baptism and the Lords supper because the bible paasages them selves tell a way different story on what God Does in Baptism and The Lords Supper than what a Baptist pastor will tell you.
Your kind heart is not a fault . thats a gift of God something i been praying to have more of.
