Three months after former Grace To You Executive Director Phil Johnson, 72, was told his cancer was in remission, he shared on social media that the good news was short lived, and that “the cancer seems to be making a rebound.”

Johnson, who recently retired from his position as Executive Director in June after more than 43 years, was diagnosed in 2024 with Multiple Myeloma, “a kind of blood cancer that lets the proteins in my blood attack other organs.”
At the time he noted that Multiple Myeloma is not curable, but the treatment should make it go into remission, quipping: “the goal, as I understand it, is to keep me alive long enough for something else to kill me.”
Treatment appeared successful for a while, but now he returns to the battle for new treatments
Keep this brother in your prayers.
