The US House of Representatives has taken a major step in its efforts to halt the mass killings of Christians in Nigeria after passing a bill that would withhold 100% of US aid unless the Nigerian government takes concrete steps βto prevent and respond to violence in the country.β
More than 20,000 Christians have been slaughtered in Nigeria in recent years, with Fulani jihadists attacking churches, murdering men and women, and kidnapping young girls.

The bill is part of the 2027 National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs Appropriations Act. It would still require approval by the full House and President Trump to become law.
The legislation originally proposed withholding 50% of aid, until Rep. Greg Steube (R-Florida) pushed for an amendment increasing it to 100%. Steube said on X:
My amendment to withhold 100% of U.S. aid to Nigeria until its government stops the slaughter of Christians has PASSED. American taxpayers should NEVER bankroll governments that turn a blind eye while Christians are abducted, tortured, and murdered. No more wasteful foreign aid!

Praise the Lord! It is about blasted time. This should’ve been done long ago.
Good move.
