The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) just revealed at its 227th General Assembly that its membership continues to decline, with continued losses, church closures, an increasingly aging population, and an inexorable drift toward irrelevancy.
Since its formation, the PCUSA has degenerated to one massive pen for goats, run almost exclusively by faithless, didn’t-finish-well octogenarians and blue-haired lesbians, with barely a sheep to be found anywhere. Some of their greatest hits over the last three years include:
Church Fasting from ‘Whiteness’ During Lent
Church Releases ‘Transgendered’ Remix of ‘Be Thou My Vision,’
Pro-Abortion Pastrix Says Stories of Jonah and Zacchaeus are Proof We Should Subsidize Birth-Control

Unlike the theologically conservative Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), which has grown over the years instead of continuing to decline, the PC(USA)’s future appears far more bleak.
According to Stated Clerk Jihyun Oh, based on their newest report,. membership fell from 1,045,848 in 2024 to 1,019,003 in 2025, a net loss of 26,845 members. In addition:
There were only 128 ordinations, while 350 ministers died and another 284 retired.
128 churches were closed
2 presbyteries were dissolved
46.2% of PC(USA) churches had under 51 active members in 2025, with 22.4% of those churches having fewer than 25 members.

60% of the reported active members are over the age of 55, including 35% over the age of 71.

At the rate things are going, things will only accelerate.
