Police in the UK have dropped their months long investigation into street preacher and Pastor Dia Moodley, according to a report by the ADF, who were representing him in court.
The pastor was arrested on November 22, 2025, for peacefully sharing his Christian views in the public square, on suspicion of “inciting religious hatred” and committing a Section 4A religiously aggravated public order offence under the Public Order Act 1986.
Pastor Moodley was subjected to arrest, eight hours in a police cell, a police visit to his home, interrogation at the police station and the initial imposition of bail conditions that banned him from entering and therefore preaching in Bristol city centre over Christmas.
After four months of investigating, police dropped the charges after determining “the evidential threshold for a realistic prospect of conviction was not met.”
It wasn’t the first time UK police either harassed or failed to protect Moodley. Recently, a Muslim man threatened him with violence over his preaching, but law enforcement told him the incident could not be investigated due to a lack of evidence, despite the encounter being filmed.
.@ASPolice said there was “insufficient evidence” to investigate a Muslim man who threatened our client Pastor Dia Moodley for his peaceful Easter street preaching. Watch the threat below—what other “evidence” do they need to investigate this incident?pic.twitter.com/B12z37HXZN

The ADF further notes:
In early 2024, the father of four successfully challenged police in Bristol after they forbade him from speaking freely about his Christian beliefs – and comparing them to other religious views – in public.
Later that year, after being assaulted by a member of the public, Pastor Moodley was arrested by Avon and Somerset Police and held for 13 hours in a police cell for contrasting Christianity and Islam in response to a question.
In March 2025, the pastor was threatened with arrest for “public order offences”, after he was assaulted by Muslim men who objected to his preaching.

Way too little way too late, I believe. Three million strong in the streets of London, who’ve had all they can take of the madness. Brits are about to send the Muslims packing. And it’s long overdue.
God commands that outsiders are to be welcomed. He commands that skin color and ethnicity are not a factor. He has set His dividing line in place, according to what is righteous and what is wicked. He also commands that outsiders are not to bring their false gods and wickedness with them. He commands “you must purge the evil from among you”. Both old and new testaments. And that is not a mere suggestion.
“Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.” – Heb. 10:28
Muslims going around the UK raping and killing, doing all manner of wickedness, while Christian pastors are arrested just for speaking and drawing attention to the source and cause of that wickedness, simply because it hurts the feelings of the wicked. Brits aren’t going to put up with that madness anymore. Those three million are probably just the tip of the iceberg. They’re fed up. They’re not going to put up with it anymore. And rightly so.
A fool says the wicked are wicked because the righteous hurt their feelings. That’s dumber than dirt stupid. You cannot appease wickedness. You cannot compromise with wickedness. A stupid fool says that wickedness is the fault of the righteous.
A wise man knows, “An unjust man is detestable to the righteous, and one whose way is upright is detestable to the wicked.” (Prov. 29:27)
“We don’t want to offend wicked people who do wicked things, because it might make them into wicked people who do wicked things” … brilliant!
“If we stop offending people, wickedness will magically heal itself and disappear” … brilliant!
Such stupidity that comes from the mouth is nothing but an excuse for one’s own wickedness of heart and depravity of mind. Those who appeal to such madness are telling on themselves, more than anything else.
People are fed up with the madness, and rightly should be fed up …
