The founder and disgraced former leader of the International House of Prayer, Mike Bickle, is setting the stage to return to ministry, even after an independent investigation found that the charismatic leader sexually abused or harassed at least seventeen women during his tenure there.
Grandview Fellowship is a church that was formed in the aftermath of the expulsion of Bickle following revelations of sexual and spiritual predation. On the weekend, they sent out an email to Bickle supporters, calling for a week of prayer and fasting for his “heaven-ordained destiny” while categorizing the opposition and ousting of Bickle as an attack against the Lord’s anointed.

The missive reads:
Dear Friend of Mike Bickle,
The last few years have brought a dramatic assault against the prayer movement and specifically Mike Bickle.
The 2023 Isaiah 62 Fast for Israel that united 100 million people in prayer struck a clear nerve in the second heavens, and a brutal assault hit back to shatter, confuse and silence clear messaging and organize prayer for Israel in a critical hour.
This has been particularly true for the leader of the Isaiah 62 fast and one of the foremost clear voices on Israel In the end times. The press to silence Mike Bickle’s voice through weaponizing long past sin against Him continues to move at every turn.
For over 50 years, Mike Bickle has fasted and prayed for the church and for Israel. Now it is our turn to fast and pray for the heaven-ordained destiny of a man whose work on the earth for the sake of Israel is not yet complete. There are yet necessary and confirmed prophetic purposes designated to manifest forth through his life.
We are joining globally on a 7 day fast specifically targeted upon Mike Bickle – to push back the press of darkness and agree with Heaven’s narrative over his life to come forth.
Fast for God’s Purposes for Mike Bickle: May 1–May 7, 2026
We wrestle not against flesh and blood but powers and principalities (Eph 6:12). The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but powerful for the tearing down of dark strongholds (2 Cor 10:4).
Blessings, The Kansas City friends of Mike Bickle
Notably, the church has been meeting in the home of Clay Edwards, whose sister is Misty Edwards, a popular worship artist who used to lead worship at IHOPKC. According to the Kansas City Star:
Former IHOPKC followers say Bickle has heavily influenced Edwards’ small church. Bickle’s wife, Diane, has attended, giving the sermons on Nov. 9, 2025, and Jan. 11, according to the church’s website.
And the notes that accompany the sermons in outline form are strikingly similar to those Bickle provided for years, even down to the practice of boldfacing, italicizing and underlining certain points.
The document detailing the upcoming fast provides a link to Bickle’s website.

While Bickle has ‘only’ admitted to sexually inappropriate behaviors with two separate adults, two minors have alleged they were victims as well of sexual abuse, with Tammy Woods saying that Bickle molested and groomed her when she was 14 and another, Terry Hartley, when she was 15.
Both of these claims are covered in the report, where it is alleged Bickle engaged in “sexual assault and deviate sexual intercourse” with Woods, and kissed on the lips and fondled the breast of Hartley.
