Imagine a denomination so wealthy it could cover all its current expenses “forever” without a single penny more from congregants.
This is the reality for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, boasting an eye-watering estimated wealth of $321 billion in 2025 and on track for $1 trillion by 2044, according to a report from The Widows Mite.

They’re so wealthy that their investments alone are yielding about $25 billion a year, with 2/3 of church income reallocated to increase that figure further.

The non-Christian cult has so many investments, and its investment portfolio is so vast that it could cover all its expenditures in perpetuity with just a 4.25% annual return on its multi-billion dollar endowment.

The denomination’s wealth is exclusively managed by Ensign Peak Advisors, who were recently fined for hiding a $32 billion portfolio behind a shell corporation.
It’s gotten to the point where when questioned if impoverished church members could be exempt from paying tithes, Elder David A. Bednar said that the church doesn’t need their money, but still believed they should tithe anyway.

60 responses to “Mormon Church Will Be A $1 Trillion Denomination in 20 Years, Never Need to Collect Tithes Again”
Is the Mormon Church a Corporation? Otherwise how could they accumulate such wealth unless it came from brow beating their congregants into tithing 10% of their earnings, and for what? To build marble white churches that only the most righteous of their Tithers can enter. I used to call it the “Inner Sanctum”
Are you unable to believe faith can build a kingdom?
Faith in a false Christ that is the “spirit brother” to Lucifer you mean?
You don’t understand LDS cosmology or theology. Being God’s children is a covenant choice we made since all are co-eternal with God.
If anyone thinks they will EVER stop forced collections from their membership they are naive.
How is it forced
They take 10% of your earned income; and they will also audit you later on to be sure that you’ve paid everything in full. However, no matter how rich the Mormon church gets, I will NEVER join a cult that believes Christ Jesus is merely a prophet, when in fact, Christ Jesus is NOT a prophet at all. Christ Jesus is a Son of God.
“They take 10% of your earned income. they will also audit you later on to be sure that you’ve paid everything in full”
Neither is true. Tithing is a choice and nobody audits you. No bishop will ever ask for your tax returns. Keeping the law of tithing is between you and God.
” believes Christ Jesus is merely a prophet, when in fact, Christ Jesus is NOT a prophet at all. Christ Jesus is a Son of God.’
You are thinking of Islam. The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints believes Jesus was exactly who he said he was: the Messiah, Son of God, God of the Old Testament, The Savior of mankind.
If you believe they will actually stop pulling in billions of dollars from congregants, you’re dreaming.
What are they doing with all that money? Isn’t the church supposed to help the poor and the needy? I could be wrong, but I haven’t heard of them doing much charity around the world.
You are very wrong. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints spends more than a billion dollars a year on humanitarian aid. As only a small part of their humanitarian efforts, in 2026 the church is sending 250 semi-truck loads of food (more than 40,000 lbs of food each) to 250 food banks across the country as part of the America 250 celebration. The church provides wheelchairs, builds health clinics, builds water projects, provides vaccinations, medical training, and scores of other types of assistance around the world, all without charging anyone anything and without obligation.

This does not include the local level giving either
Ask this simple question of any Church. “Are your pastors Paid or unpaid ?” iIn the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all ministry is unpaid. Tithing is optional as is Templeattendance. We believe if free agency so thoroughly we dont really care if you pay tithing or not, as you are welcome anytime toworship Jesus Christ with us. This article is so off the mark, and unresearched.
Sorry, but they do indeed care if you tithe. If you don’t tithe, you are not allowed to go to Temple. Furthermore, the LDS church rarely speak of Jesus Christ, having lowered His status as God and placing him on the same level as Satan, claiming they’re brothers. Rather, they focus much of their attention on Joseph Smith, the founder of their cult, as well as his work of fiction, The Book of Mormon.
When is the last time you attended an LDS sacrament meeting?
They take 10% of your earned income; and they will also audit you later on to be sure that you’ve paid everything in full. Tell us more about these audits
At an LDS service, you’d be hard pressed to find anyone actually worshiping Christ. What you will find is speakers giving testimony that ‘the church is true’ and what praise you’ll hear is reserved for Joseph Smith and the current ‘prophet’ and church leadership.
I should know. I grew up in the church until I left once I left home.
John lied. We worship Jesus Christ and Father in Heaven. We learn about Their prophet and apostles as part of learning about them.
That is 100% nonsense. If someone even stops attending their ward, they get harassed by missionaries & “home visits”. You know you’re ” faith” is about pressure & human performance. The book of Mormon is filled lie after lie. Go read the actual bible for a month, come back & let’s talk.
And the Nephites never existed, not a shred of archeological evidence. Unlike the real bible which archeology keeps proving.
What archeological evidence exists for Genesis?
Takes some huevos (or extreme ignorance) to refer to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormon church) as a “non-Christian cult”. Come to a church service – you’ll see nothing but Christ-centered and -focused worship. Peace.
“Christ-centered”
Uh, no. What’s worshiped at an LDS service is ‘the church’. I was brought up LDS and later, I did attend a bible believing Baptist church which did worship Christ at their services. The difference between a real Christ centered church and the Mormons is like night and day.
“The difference between a real Christ centered church and the Mormons is like night and day.”
So true! For instance, Baptists believe God stopped talking to humanity thousands of years ago and even then it was only to one tiny sliver of humanity. LDS member believe he continues to talk and loves all his children.
Yeah & your Christ is his own”god”, and the brother of Lucifer. And the literal son of god the father. The holy spirit is its ownGod too. You believe in a false trinity. You don’t believe in hell. You baptize dead ancestors. I could go on and on. You are NOT Christian, your father is the devil, the father of lies. Repent & turn to the Jesus of the true bible before it’s too late. Not the one that makes you a God on your own planet with you “forever” spouse.
We worship the same God that Jesus prayed to.
The Mormon church believes that Christ Jesus is not christ and that Jesus is merely a prophet. Also, there is a checklist that the Mormon church DOES pass to qualify as a cult. This is already been proven over and over. Once a person decides to NOT join the church, the Mormon church shuns you and has everyone else to avoid you. This alone is another definition and example of how a cult acts.I know because I personally experienced this first hand.
Wow – your experience is so vastly different from mine. Christ is referred to by many different names, one of these being “God the Son” (in addition to Wonderful, Prince of Peace, etc.), not “merely a prophet”. As for shunning, and influencing others to do the same? Again, not in my experience, which admittedly is only 75 years, so it could happen – but I’d be both surprised and opposed to it. Please re-check the sources of your information and more important, come visit us again.
This article proved itself to be a piece of propaganda when it labeled the Church “a non-Christian cult”. That tells you all you need to know about the lack of veracity and the anti-Church ideology of the writers, which leaves the truthfulness of the entire article in doubt.
I personally have experienced the Mormon church; and I DO know that they do NOT believe Christ Jesus to be Christ. Instead, the Mormon church believes that Jesus is merely a prophet and nothing more. When I personally asked a family why they are called a Christian church, this one family replied to me that they are a Christian church because they believe in God. I replied to them that you can NOT christian God. Also, the Mormon church says that they believe in two gods, a boy god and a girl god, when in fact, God, the one and ONLY God is neither a male or female; AND there’s only ONE first source- God.
“when in fact, God, the one and ONLY God is neither a male or female”
Jesus wasn’t a man?
Awesome, they will be able to fight hunger and poverty with these revenues
in addition to being a cult and false religion, it’s ALWAYS been a corporation.
A corporation is just a lega structure to hold assets. There’s nothing nefarious about it.
Grow up. This is the 21st century. The LDS church is not an ‘anti-Christian cult.’ That false label alone should tell you this article has no intention of presenting the truth. I make tithes and offerings to the church freely, without compulsion of any kind. To suggest members like me are forced to donate is a lie. As Elder Bednar said, tithing is a blessing to me and to many, many others.
Redarding tithing, if you are a mormon member and if your make enough money, they WILL REQUIRE you to pay the tithes. In fact, they also audit you at the wnd tmof each year to be sure that you’ve paid your tithes.I personally have experienced the Mormon church; and I DO know that they do NOT believe Christ Jesus to be Christ. Instead, the Mormon church believes that Jesus is merely a prophet and nothing more. I replied to them that you can NOT christian God. Also, the Mormon church says that they believe in two gods, a boy god and a girl god, when in fact, God, the one and ONLY God is neither a male or female; AND there’s only ONE first source- whivh is the only and only God.
I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for more than 60 years. I have paid tithing to the church from the time I was a teenager working as a busboy in a restaurant and I still pay a tithe on my retirement income. I have NEVER been required to pay tithes and offerings and I have NEVER been audited. Donating a tenth of my income to the Lord is a great blessing and I do it freely and gratefully. You are very wrong that we do not believe that Jesus is God. He is God, the only begotten of our Heavenly Father, and we worship Him. We will have to agree to disagree that God is neither male or female. Perhaps a more careful reading of the Bible would help you sort that out correctly.
*correction: There is ONLY one first source: the one and only God who is neither a male or female.
Right… And Mohammed made the same claim as Joseph Smith. The Bible was wrong, so he fixed it. Which is correct? The Q’ran came 1200 years earlier.
Mitt Romney, MBA, dba “son of god, brother to Jesus”, needs refresher course because number of Mormon missionaries is sliding.
What are you basing your claim on?
Sorry he meant Lucifer is Jesus’ bro and son of god(the father).
Don’t you believe God created Satan? Kind of a jerk move.
It is not a denomination of anyone. It’s a cult.

The teaching of Joseph Smith, conflicts with God’s word. God does not conflict Himself. Joseph Smith is a false prophet.
If you want to understand how God dealt with the Gentiles, a good place to start is the first few chapters of Romans.
Everyone who ever lived is a descendant of Noah, a descendant of Adam.
And understand, that Smith’s teachings don’t come close to addressing questions concerning the eternal fate of all who lived before Jesus complete and final sacrifice, and victory over death and the grave.
Also understand that his teachings don’t come close to addressing questions concerning other groups around the world, who hadn’t heard the Gospel, or didn’t hear it for a long time, apart from native Americans. There are a lot more than just native Americans.
Understand that His work was full and complete for all time. By faith we are saved. By faith Abraham was saved, the Gospel reached back, his faith was justified when Jesus’ complete work was done. He believed God would do what He promised. So by faith he obeyed. And God did indeed do what He promised. (Gal. 3:3-6)
The answers to our questions are all in God’s word.
You might believe that God still speaks to mankind. But one thing God absolutely does not do is contradict Himself.
Joseph Smith was a false prophet. Mormonism is a Satan-serving cult.
Much of it is rooted in a severe lack of understanding the Gospel, and what it means to become born again, indwelled by the Holy Spirit. As well as the compulsion to lazily try to explain things that we do not understand, rather than searching God’s word for the answers to our questions.
There’s a distinction that needs to be noted. All are born with the law written on the heart, and with a conscience (the God-breathed spirit of man)
But when one is born again, the word is implanted. Right. Then the Gospel is written on the heart. And the Holy Spirit strengthens the spirit of man, to overcome the corruption from Creation.
The Bible already answers every question Joseph Smith tried to answer. You just have to pay attention. Believing is seeing. It first requires a clear understanding of what the true Gospel is all about, how it works, and what it means to be born again.
> All are born with the law written on the heart
That’s objectively false. How is a Japanese peasant from 12000bc supposed to have the “law” written on his heart?
Romans 2:15
That Japanese peasant is a descendant of Adam.
You need to read the first few chapters of Romans in order to have a clear understanding. Paul is addressing the very issue of the Gentiles, who did not receive the law of Moses.
Start here, in chapter 1 …
“18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,g in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” (Rom. 1:18-20)
So what does it say then about groups of gentiles such as the native Americans? They too were without excuse, as all have been without excuse since Adam, both Jew and Gentile.
All are without excuse. Mankind is not like the animals. That Japanese peasant knew it was wrong to commit murder, wrong to lie, wrong to steal, and so on. It was passed to him from Adam. Man is created with a spirit. Animals are not. Animals do not know right from wrong. Nature is full of every wickedness imaginable. As Paul says, it is clearly plain to see from creation.
Remember, Abraham also came before the law of Moses. But what does the scripture say? He was justified by faith. And that justification happened many centuries later, when God kept His promise. Jesus’ work reached back through time and justified the faith of Abraham.
You do not know or understand the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. And neither did Joseph Smith. (neither do many these days)
It transcends all time and space. Just as God is not limited by time or space.
You claim it is objectively false, because you wrongly assume there is no common basis.
When it’s actually objectively true because there is a common basis – all are descendants of Adam, and mankind is a unique creation. Even if you reject the account of creation, you still must understand that the uniqueness of mankind is an objective truth. And when you follow back that objective truth, and many others like it, as evident in what God has made, you will begin to understand how the account of Creation, given in God’s word, is the truth. It fits perfectly, and fits like no other.
It might help to consider the concept of justification as similar to the concept of vindication. Abraham’s faith was vindicated through Jesus. Abraham didn’t know Jesus’ name. But He knew that God would fulfill His promise. There is no other name by which men may be saved (Acts 4:12). But Abraham didn’t know His name. Neither did Moses. Neither did any who came before. Yet they were saved by that name. Their faith was vindicated.
Now, here is a point where your response above and your response below collide. In what I just stated, there is an apparent contradiction. There is no other name. Yet many who came before didn’t know His name. It might appear to conflict, but it doesn’t conflict. And it is when you put forth an effort to try to understand how it doesn’t conflict, at which point you begin to understand the mystery of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ – the scope of the Gospel – the power of the Gospel – the truth of the Gospel – the definition of the Gospel. It is an understanding of the power, scope, and truth of Gospel that couldn’t be conveyed without that apparent contradiction. And it’s up to us to consider how the apparent contradiction isn’t actually a contradiction. It further defines and refines our understanding. Sharpens it. God didn’t put such things in His word for no reason. If it’s in there, then there’s a good reason it’s in there. We can be assured of that fact.
The logic in Paul’s writing is irrefutable. As is the logic of all the Apostles. Because it was inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Understand this, in light of Romans 1. What I’m ‘about to say …
Our Creator is the basis for everything. Not the creation. The Creator. He is the basis for all reasoning. When you reason deeply enough, following the reasoning back to the root, to find the concrete truth that is the basis, then you will inevitably be led right to the Creator.
It’s the rejection of the Creator that results in suppression of the truth, and baseless reasoning that leads to a reprobate mind. Mankind has been trying to manufacture solid, objective reasoning devoid of the Creator since the beginning, and has failed miserably every time.
He is the foundation.
What you did, by stating that some Japanese peasant lived 12,000 BC, was essentially to rip the Creator right out from under your reasoning, leaving you with nothing but relativist circular logic. Because that did not come from your creator, it came from Charles Darwin. It came from the commandments of men – the baseless commandments of men, because they to, in evaluating that date, also factor out the Creator. The baseless circular logic, when you boil it down, is then to essentially claim that the Creation account is false, because the Creation account is false. Entirely baseless, and nothing objective about it whatsoever. So when you claim it is objectively false, with that circular reasoning being your only basis, you are yourself objectively wrong.
When you don’t factor out the Creator, then you will understand the objective truth in the first few chapters of Romans, and you will see and understand the irrefutable logic. And you’ve got to start with the distinction between the Creator and not the Creation, right there in the first chapter.
In this context, a better word would be “substantiation” rather than the word “basis”.
Follow the reasoning back, what substantiates this, and what substantiates that, and so on, and you will end up at the root substantiation for everything – our Creator.
If you rip out that foundation, before you even get through the first chapter of Romans, then you won’t be able to understand the reasoning that follows. You did not understand Romans 2, because you didn’t make it all the way through Romans 1.
John 5:25-29
1 Peter 3:18-22
1 Peter 4:5-6
First few chapters of Romans
Etc …
See, the answers to the questions have always been right there in the Bible all along …
I didn’t say that clearly enough. The work of the law written on the heart (Rom. 2:15) is not the same as the implanted word (James 1:21). That’s the distinction that may trip up some people.
It very well could be that Smith had no ill intent. It could be that his main sin was just pure slothfulness. Who knows. But a prophet who conflicts with scripture, is a false prophet. Plain and simple, and without question.
By that standard you should throw out the Bible since it contradicts itself often.
That lie is exactly what makes you a cult.
That’s not just laziness, it’s arrogance. There are many things in the Bible that you might think contradict, but that’s because you haven’t bothered with trying to understand how they don’t conflict. Believing is seeing. You wont see it until you believe it enough to search out the scriptures to understand how apparent conflicts do not truly conflict. That’s how we gain a clearer understanding of matters that often can’t be perfectly described with words. Apparent conflicts will define one another, and when we begin to understand more how they don’t conflict, we then develop a clearer and more accurate interpretation. That leads us see and understand what the Lord wants us to see and understand.
God’s word does not conflict. If there’s ever a question in our minds whether or not He is wrong or we are wrong, we can be assured we’re the one who’s wrong. And if we’ll humble ourselves before Him, then He will show us how we’re wrong.
The failure of Joseph Smith to humble himself in such a manner, but rather to just lazily (or perhaps intentionally) say “I’m right, and the Bible is wrong”, is exactly what made him a false prophet. That’s exactly what makes you a cult.
The Apostles called it the “mystery” of the Gospel. The answers are all in God’s word.
Wow. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the most Biblical and New Testament church matching church, quite opposite of non-christian. When you finally read The Bible, you will find tithing as an old commandment from God. The thought of people paying tithing won’t be shocking, once you finally read The Bible.
