Beth Moore Preaches at Duke University
Now that she’s left the SBC and is free to cut loose, Beth Moore is taking full advantage of her newfound freedom, preaching the morning service to a packed crowd at Duke Chapel at the prestigious Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
While she was with her previous denomination, Moore would occasionally preach to men and then act offended and caught off guard when the blowback came, such as her infamous Mother’s Day service, which was a catalyst for leaving.
Moore’s theological ineptitude are the stuff of legends, as she has routinely claimed direct revelation from God (like her famous tale of God telling her to brush a guy’s hair instead of witnessing to him), affirming so-called woman pastors and those who affirm LGBTQ+, labeling her entire denomination racist, and claiming white supremacy is running rampant” in the church. She has liked tweets dissuading believers from sharing the Gospel at BLM protests and recently said that the pulpit has become a threat to women’. She has criticized complementarianism, as ‘it wipes out half the gospel force’ and has begun preaching at churches.
Moore could never be honest about her intentions and aspirations while at the SBC, but as soon as she left, she threw off the shackles of the patriarchy and has been preaching to men since, reveling in the role of preacher and teacher, all in defiance of God’s word.
The opportunity to preach at Duke? Moore surely feels she’s made it.
Color me shocked Batman….
