(The Guardian) A teenager who “stands for the oppressed, and the forgotten” is to become the first LGBTQ+ character to take on the mantle of Captain America.

Marvel Comics is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the US hero with the launch of a new series, The United States of Captain America, in which the incumbent Steve Rogers will team up with former Captain Americas when his shield goes missing. The heroes will take a road trip across the US to find the shield, and will meet people from “all walks of life” who have taken on the mantle of Captain America to defend their communities. Aaron Fischer, a gay teenager, will be the first, in the new limited series, released in June.

Marvel described Fischer, who will be the “Captain America of the Railways”, as “a fearless teen who stepped up to protect fellow runaways and the unhoused”, with his debut timed to coincide with Pride Month in the US.

“Aaron is inspired by heroes of the queer community: activists, leaders, and everyday folks pushing for a better life,” said the series writer Josh Trujillo. “He stands for the oppressed, and the forgotten. I hope his debut story resonates with readers, and helps inspire the next generation of heroes.”

Artist Jan Bazaldua said she had “really enjoyed” creating Fischer. “As a transgender person, I am happy to be able to present an openly gay person who admires Captain America and fights against evil to help those who are almost invisible…

7 thoughts on “Marvel Announces First Gay Captain America

  1. This is this the gayest thing I have ever seen quite literally. Not only is this rebellion against God, but it also continues to paint the USA as a nation of weaklings. The original Captain America was big, strong, and patriotic. This “Captain America” looks like he has AIDS and couldn’t even defend himself against a toddler. China continues to laugh hysterically at us.

  2. This is ironically a pretty accurate picture of America today – weak, corrupted, sinful, in rebellion against God, sexually perverted, unrepentant, and worthless. And “Aaron Fischer” is such a blatantly Jewish name; to be expected from the entertainment industry. Move over Christian America, Captain America is now a gay Jew patrolling the nation, standing up against your moral teaching.

The salt has lost its savor and is good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

    1. I also notice that he seems to have the crescent moon of islam tattooed on his left shoulder? And the bottom of his right foot is visible. So far from fighting I guess he’s dancing to show tunes.

  3. People can’t see the forest for the trees when it comes to superheroes. The problem isn’t that Captain America is gay, the problem is that comic book characters have become such a large part of popular culture.
This stuff was never edifying to begin with, and the problems with Marvel and Captain America is the escapism and fantasy element.

The more people consume fiction like Marvel, DC, Star Wars, LOTR etc., the harder it is for them to engage with reality. It’s no wonder there’s huge swaths of the population that have a depraved mind.

  4. The wealthy merchants and high priests of the synagogue of satan think its time Captain America becomes a sodomite, and there is not a thing you can do about it. They are mocking us every day and know they hold the power with their globally controlled beast media system. We who follow JESUS Christ are public enemy number one and the lock ups and global persecutions are drawing nearer every day. ……….
