Ultra-Liberal United Methodists Denomination Disbands After 3 Years For These Hilarious Reasons

We are a people of faith committed to living into and out of the wisdom and compassion of the historical Jesus – a brown man of undetermined sexual orientation who arose from a people bowed down under Empire. His prophetic witness calls us to a risky engagement with powers and principalities and compels us to overturn tables of systemic oppression…. In our quest for justice, we consciously avoid theological litmus tests and external creeds. We are a people led by God’s Spirit in a way that welcomes a dynamic evolution of our beliefs, our practices, and our systems…. Our vision is founded on the prophetic leadership and active participation of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual + (LGBTQIA+) people, and people with disabilities. These collectives live at the intersection of direct social action and theological reflection.

(LMX Statement of Values, Vision and Mission)

Nearly four years ago, the super progressives within the United Methodist Church were upset that their hellbound denomination wasn’t liberal enough. Consequently, many of the pagans within the UMC that were given the freedom to let their leaven fizz and ferment for decades announced the creation of their own denomination, called The Liberation Methodist Connexion (LMX), which went live in late 2020/ early 2021.

Since then, the last year has not been kind to them. Within a year they suffered massive defections, going from 40 churches to just 20. In a post on their website recapping  the state of the union, they recounted their few victories:

“Since (we’ve launched), the LMX has put together several online events that have given many people a glimpse of a what a liberative spiritual experience could look like, combining the message that what we are all beloved children of God with tough conversations on how our churches enable racism, homophobia, misogyny, ableism, and other forms of oppression”

We have had two roundtables; one a conversation on race and how we can work towards eliminating racism, the other a conversation around queering Easter and how the resurrection story speaks to resisting oppression.

They also shared the bad news:

“Immediately after the launch, the LMX attempted to handle unexpected, complex challenges in ways that distracted from our primary purpose for weeks, exhausting us and leading to some internal distrust.”

“Since February, some working group meetings struggled with attendance as common ground in conversations on foundational documents was not reachedNo new collaborators were introduced, seemingly due to a lack of agreement about how to best integrate new people. Other sticky points for us have been concerns about whether our BIPOC collaborators are being treated well, whether we are prioritizing dismantling white culture in the LMX over creating space for queer people, whether the LMX should be a traditional Christian denomination or other,

As we stepped back and took a wider view of where we were having the most trouble, one unforeseen issue is that we were mostly unprepared for what it looks like practically to build something new; particularly as a volunteer group without the resources of our old denominations. Common ground was easier to find when we were focused on critiquing old institutions. It has been much harder to find as we all bring ideas about what can be. We realized that we made many assumptions about the goals of our fellow collaborators.

Put another way, a bunch of woke pagans with Christian ideations couldn’t agree on how badly they hated the bible and the correct way to butcher it, resulting in no money, no people, and no hope in heaven of keeping it together.

Two years later, it is no more. When we went to check in on the rapscallions, we found a message posted to their Facebook page in March of 2023, where they shared that the dream was dead and they were shuttering the whole affair, dissolving the denomination.

Given how bad the UMC has gotten over even the last three years, these folks can come crawling back, quickly slink in, and find themselves right at home like they’d never left.

Calvin University Prez. Resigns After ‘Unwelcome, Inappropriate’ Behavior+ Good Riddance Wokester!

Calvin University President Wiebe Boer has resigned following allegations that he “engaged in unwelcome and inappropriate communication and attention toward a non-student member of the campus community,” according to a press release from the school.

Calvin University is a Michigan-based University belonging to the conservative CRCNA (Christian Reformed Church in North America) that has been embroiled in controversy over the years, which we have documented here:

We have long argued Calvin should no longer be considered a Christian University after it compromised on issues of biblical sexual morality by allowing professors to affirm sodomy, thereby continuing its dark descent into theological deviltry.

Wiebe became President of Calvin in 2022 and is well-liked by Kristin Kobes Du Mez; definitely a strike against him, and he has been a driving force in lubricating the LGBTQ takeover of the school.

Upon receiving the report, the University “immediately engaged outside experts to ensure that Calvin University responded to the report in compliance with our policy and legal requirements, including Title IX. After being notified of the report, Dr. Boer denied some of the allegations but did admit to sending communications that were inappropriate and inconsistent with the high standard of conduct and character expected of the President of Calvin University. Dr. Boer subsequently offered his resignation, which the Board accepted.”

Good riddance! It’s time to bring someone on as President who will right the flailing ship and purge the scourge of wokeism and wicked sexual ethics from the school once and for all.

AACC President Raymond Chang Promotes Asian Christian Self-Segregation.

Raymond Chang Promotes Asian Christian Self-Segregation

Raymond Chang, president of the Evangeleftist organization Asian American Christian Collaborative, functions like his counterpart Jemar Tisby, president of The Witness Collective. Like Tisby, Chang regularly supports such leftist causes as the Black Lives Matter movement, gun control movement, and racial hierarchy politics. The AACC website’s recommended resources page is chock full of links, book recommendations, and podcasts that focus almost exclusively on race-baiting and racialization of the church, as if the organization’s only purpose is to promote racial and political division amongst Christians.

Apparently all the attention, funding, and conference speaker invitations that his black BLM-supporting activist counterparts have received due to the BLM movement have left Raymond chafed badly. He recently took to Twitter to tell Asians to segregate from organizations that don’t have Asians in positions of power.

This take is interesting for several reasons. If a conservative Caucasian Christian made the same statement but replaced “Asian American” with “White American”, 99% of Christians would call the statement racist, and rightly so. Raymond gets a pass from leftists and moderates because he plays the racial hierarchy grievance game.

Raymond takes pride in the ecumenical nature of his organization. He even recently boasted that an upcoming candidate pool for a senior leadership position in his organization contains “remarkable diversity”.

Despite the boast, AACC’s leadership team features a stunning lack of racial diversity. Apparently, BLM is just a slogan at the AACC, as it lacks actual black voices on its leadership team.

Not to be outdone by the AACC, Jemar Tisby’s Witness Foundation board has a similar level of monoethnicity that unsurprisingly includes only what Jamar would refer to as “Black Voices.”

In the secular social justice hierarchy, Asian Americans regularly face actual discrimination (not perception-based microaggressions) as a result of affirmative action in corporate and government hiring practices and higher education. Affirmative action has been championed by leftist “anti-racist” activists like Raymond Chang, even though affirmative action regularly disadvantages Asian Americans who would otherwise receive employment or educational opportunities based on hard-earned merit and skill.

Despite this, Raymond Chang believes that his fellow Asians must join forces with leftists and Black Americans and support affirmative action as a part of the “equity” movement.

Raymond later revealed his motive for stirring the pot and trying to get Asian Christians to abandon their current theological entanglements. He wants them to take their money and join him in building his Asian FUBU (for us by us) empire, platform, and influence.

What an ironic statement for someone who claims to be anti-racist and wants Asians to be platformed as conference speakers and ministry leaders. Antiracism for thee, but not for thee. The Gospel is very clear that all men, no matter what ethnos, are called to come to the foot of the cross on the same plane as everyone else. The scripture never describes the kind of divisions that men like Raymond Chang and Jemar Tisby are trying to make in the body of Christ.

Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all. Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Colossians 3:11-15

Lutheran Seminary Preacher Changes Scripture to Call God He/Her/They

“And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” Luke 18:1-8

The Rev. Jason Chesnut is the pastor of Anam Cara, an ELCA online-only church. He is the founder of Ankos Films, Slate Project, and won the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago’s 2022 Witness to the World award. The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago is perhaps the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s wokest and progressively radical seminary. With only 145 students and 14 staff, the school is so irrelevant that it recently had to sell off its campus to the University of Chicago on account of failing finances.

Speaking at their chapel on October 12, the ‘Rev’ Chesnut blasphemously alters the scripture to change God’s gender. Not content to merely refer to the Lord as a “she”, which has been a common woke trope for decades, Chestnut also refers to God as a “they”, even though he would scream bloody murder in any other situation where ‘revealed personal pronouns’ are not honored and accepted.

In that same city a widow came to him asking, begging, “Give me Justice against my opponent! Give me Justice against my opponent. Give me Justice against my opponent! Give me jus- for a while he refused. But then he said to himself “I don’t fear God or respect people but I will give this woman justice because she she keeps bothering me. Otherwise there’ll be no end to her coming here and embarrassing me.”

‘And the Lord said”-listen to what the unjust judge says- “won’t God provide justice to His chosen people who cry out to Her day and night? Will They be slow to help?” Now I tell you, God will grant them justice quickly.

Evangeleftist Kevin Young Tells Bible Readers to Reward Themselves with Liquor or a Sunday Off Church

Kevin Young, an up-and-coming false teacher among Evangeleftists, regularly uses progressive talking points to advocate for radical anti-biblical positions. Young believes that Sodom and Gomorrah’s destruction was not related to sodomy but rather due to the lack of hospitality. Such scripture twisting has led to such bad conclusions as the idea that Jesus and Paul were proponents of “Gender Fluidity”.

Young also likes to muddy the waters by comparing apples to oranges. A prime example is when Young equates the church’s rejection of transgender ideology to a rejection of intersex individuals, who Young proclaims “fill” the Bible.

Young recently gave a series of tips to those who are considering a New Year’s scripture reading resolution. Those tips include practicing social justice instead of reading scripture, avoiding books that include God’s law, and rewarding yourself after two weeks of success with liquor or by taking a “Sunday off church.”

While liquor in moderation is within the bounds of Christian liberty for a believer that is not given over to excessive overindulgence or drunkenness, Kevin received a well-earned rebuke for his suggestion that believers should not make Bible Reading a top priority. He even tried to backpedal and claim that the post was a joke, but reiterates that if taking a Sunday off from church is motivation, he believes that Christians should take Sunday off.

Kevin regularly attacks the idea of Christians gathering together on the Lord’s Day as nonessential.

Kevin blames “ineffective church methodologies” for apostatizing youth. Since 70% of evangelical teens apostatize, Kevin believes that you should consider skipping Christmas Sunday worship for a “home-based” alternative.

Kevin provided a church-at-home worship guide for Christmas Sunday that ends with a series of self-centered carnal questions.

Despite Kevin Young’s denial that he was serious when he suggested that Christians should take a Sunday off as a Bible reading reward, Young’s continual assertions that Christians don’t need to gather together shows that he really doesn’t believe in a commitment to gathering on the Lord’s day. Young doesn’t even believe that the proclamation of the word in the form of a sermon is an essential part of gathering.

Those mystified by Young’s self-confidence in leading those who would follow into every form of doctrinal error should consider the wayward nature of Young and the source of his so-called knowledge and wisdom.

Kevin Young is on a trajectory towards heresy in many forms, a disposition he holds with great pride.

Woke Church Liturgy Includes a ‘Matriarchal Rewrite’ of the Genealogy of Jesus Christ

Christ Episcopal Church Dayton, an ‘affirming’ Episcopal Church in Dayton, Ohio, is about as progressive and Jesus-hating as they come. Led by the Rev. Peter Homeyer, whose services typically consist of juggling the heads of sheep to entertain the goats, the congregation is populated almost exclusively by a smattering of senior citizens whose consciences are seared, lesbians, and the occasional effeminate man. During a recent message, the church cauldron of theological bile offered a rewrite of the genealogy of Jesus as part of their advent Sunday.

The genealogy, which is popularly used in ELCA, UMC, and PCUSA churches, was created by the late Sister Ann Patrick Ware. She was a feminist nun who famously fought for ‘reproductive health’ and the right to take a scalpel and double tap a baby’s brain while in the womb, turning a whole child into a slurry of blood and bone.

The ‘church’ offers:

~ A GENEALOGY OF JESUS CHRIST ~

A genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of Miriam, the daughter of Anna:

Sarah was the mother of Isaac,
And Rebekah was the mother of Jacob,
Leah was the mother of Judah,
Tamar was the mother of Perez.

The names of the mothers of Hezron, Ram, Amminadab,
Nahshon and Salmon have been lost.

Rahab was the mother of Boaz,
and Ruth was the mother of Obed.
Obed’s wife, whose name is unknown, bore Jesse.
The wife of Jesse was the mother of David.

Bathsheba was the mother of Solomon,

Naamah, the Ammonite, was the mother of Rehoboam.
Maacah was the mother of Abijam and the grandmother of Asa.
Azubah was the mother of Jehoshaphat.
The name of Jehoram’s mother is unknown.

Athaliah was the mother of Ahaziah,
Zibiah of Beersheba, the mother of Joash.
Jecoliah of Jerusalem bore Uzziah,
Jerusha bore Jotham;
Ahaz’s mother is unknown.

Abi was the mother of Hezekiah,
Hephzibah was the mother of Manasseh,
Meshullemeth was the mother of Amon,
Jedidah was the mother of Josiah.

Zebidah was the mother of Jehoiakim,
Nehushta was the mother of Jehoiachin,
Hamutal was the mother of Zedekiah.

The the deportation to Babylon took place.

After the deportation to Babylon
the names of the mothers go unrecorded.
These are their sons:

Jechoniah, Shealtiel, Zerubbabel,
Abiud, Eliakim, Azor and Zadok,
Achim, Eliud, Eleazar,
Matthew, Jacob and Joseph, the husband of

Miriam.

Of her was born Jesus who is called Christ.

The sum of generations is therefore:
fourteen from Sarah to David’s mother;
fourteen from Bathshebba to the Babylonian deportation; and
fourteen from the Babylonian deportation to Miriam, the mother of Christ.

Jemar Tisby Cuts a Promo Video For Abortion-Loving ‘Christians’

Prior to the 2022 midterms, Jemar Tisby cut a video for Critical race Theorist Ibram X Kendi’s “Emancipator” news outlet, promoting Raphael Warnock and William Barber as positive examples of faith-based politics, despite both men enthusiastically affirming child sacrifice for prosperity (CSP) and queer syncretism.

You’ll recall Kendi previously hired Tisby to be his new ‘Assistant Director of Narrative and Advocacy’ at the Center for Antiracist Research, and the two have been conspiring together ever since. Tibsy is the author of The Color of Compromise and How to Fight Racism who has an openly pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ woman leading his Christian organization and who has praised and platformed a Universalist Anti-Christ pastrix. He explains in the video:

While the white Christian nationalist crusade threatens the future of our democracy, it’s not the only way people of faith have engaged in politics. For example, the black Christian tradition represents a very different way people of faith have engaged with politics, a way that historically has led to more democratic participation and an expansion of civil rights and inclusion. No faith community is perfect, and the black Christian tradition doesn’t always get it right. But it serves as a valuable reminder that the white Christian nationalist crusade isn’t the only witness to faith in politics.

That there is a tradition of working toward a multiracial, inclusive democracy fueled by a very different understanding of Christianity. We can look at people like William J. Barber, who helped revive the Poor People’s Campaign, Latosha Brown, leader of Black Voters Matter. And Chris Jones, physicist and ordained minister, who’s running for governor of Arkansas. All of them are vocal about the role of faith in their activism, and working to break the old molds of whose voices and whose votes count in this country. White Christian nationalism is a dangerous and urgent threatened United States. We should know about it. We should understand it so we can resist this anti-democratic crusade.

That Tisby believes most of these people are Christians is pathetic.

Pastor Raphael Warnock’s pagan liberalism and heresy are well-established, as you don’t get endorsed by Planned Parenthood without being a bit of a heretic. Chris Jones is a pro-pro LBGTQ minister who was least seen preaching at a Unitarian Universalist church. And Barber?

Barber is the campaign chair at the Poor People’s Campaign and the progressive pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina. His church is part of the apostate Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination, a 250,000-member maligner of God’s word, characterized by a rejection of the Christian creeds, the freedom to deny essential doctrines like the Trinity or Atonement, and full acceptance or LGBTQ+ and abortion rights. The denomination has only one belief- you must believe Jesus is God, but other than that, how that is expressed and everything else is up to you. Barber has adopted that with enthusiasm, having previously teamed up with Planned Parenthood for pro-choice rallies and recently having preached this bender:

That he would lift up these men as positive examples of Christian witness shows how compromised and hopelessly lost he he truly is.

Did We Just Call Kyle J. Howard the ‘N-Word’?

Kyle J. Howard is more vexed than usual. Over the last few days he’s been putting together a list of words that if directed his way or the way of any black person or white ally, are little more than thinly veiled racial pejoratives designed to replace the n-bomb. Some of expressions he considers to be on par and equivalent to n***** include:

SJW
Marxist
Woke
Divisive
Any correction to his thinking/ suggestion that he is in error.

For example:

It’s shocking how much he reads into an appeal to be less divisive, and the motives he assigns and impugns.

The offending statement in question that leads Howard to believe if you say anything about his mind your basically calling him a monkey with your hints of his biological inferiority.

The next:

Despite his insistence, we would never call someone the n-bomb, nor do we view any person of any color as inferior to anyone else. All humans are made in the image of God, and we love all our brothers and sisters irrespective of their shade of melanin.

Despite his evil intent, Howard does not get to co-opt the language to mollify and stave off an examination of his actions. Howard does not get to engage in newspeak, where he cancels all criticism by labeling all criticism as racist, regardless of intent. Howard doesn’t get to declare those words synonyms for n*****, all the while thanking up other words that he wants to bring into the fold.

Because Howard deserves to be criticized, check out just some of what he’s said and done over the last two years while being platformed and praised by Julie Roys (whose associations should make you question her integrity.)

Kyle J. Howard Calls Republicans ‘White Supremacist’ Cultists- Who He Will Never Forgive or Embrace
Kyle J. Howard Refuses to Take Communion or Attend Predominantly White Churches
Kyle J. Howard says Black Boys being Molested by Black Men is the Fault of White People

Kyle J. Howard is ‘Triggered’ by Supreme Court’s anti-Roe vs Wade Ruling Because White People ‘Sacrificed Black People’s Joy and Flourishing’ To Attain it.
Kyle J. Howard Gives 48 Hours of Extra-Spicy and Deeply Racist Quotes

A path must exist for Howard to be corrected without him throwing a white sheet over his correctors head and a swastika flag in their hand the minute he’s told his unbiblical view of race is troubling and theologically bankrupt. This is especially true when some of the language is biblical language that he’s bucking against. These are the actions and expressions of a woke, divisive, racist man. Those invectives against him have a meaning, and they’ll never mean the racially changed insults he desperately desires they be, despite his best efforts.

Witness BCC VP Suggests White People Enjoy Viral ‘It’s Corn!’ Video Because They’re Racist

While Jemar Tisby and his supporters go around complaining and raging that a college that he once spoke at repudiated one of his messages for being too progressive and having “divisive racial themes,’ the LGBTQ-affirming, openly pro-choice Vice President of his Black Christian Collective Organization is out slinging racial accusations again, this time suggesting that white folks only like memes with featuring black people because of their white racist impulses.

For context, this is the same woman who advised black women not to enter into interracial relationships with white people, then she said that she’s concerned about the number of black ‘coons’ running for political office, because white people are ‘weaponizing’ them. She also said that white children are racist after observing THIS normal playground behavior. Now, she’s getting more an more extreme, sharing her dark and accusatory thoughts towards white folk who appreciate the viral video and it’s ‘songified’ companion.

I just want to say that I love Tariq, aka the little boy known as ‘corn kid’. He is adorable. His discussion of corn is just so innocent and pure and there’s so many life lessons that you can take from it. So this is no shade on him at all whatsoever.

At the same time, I really struggle with black viral fame. I don’t want to be one of those people that keeps people from enjoying things because I’m looking at it way too deep. But part of me wonders if whenever black people go viral for something, if we’re all sharing it and laughing about it for the same reasons.

And if I’m honest, I don’t think that we’re finding the same thing humorous, especially along racial and cultural lines. And I know that people will jump in the comments about corn kid and be like, ‘Oh, but he’s so cute’ and this and that and the other, and that’s totally true.

But I can’t help but wonder if white people’s impulse to be entertained by black people is behind the virality of corn kid, or for that matter of the ‘Period Ahh Period Uhh; girl who is black fishing. Just some food for thought.

Kevin Ezell Issues Non-Apology for NAMB Partnering With False Gospel

Just when you thought the SBC was as wayward and corrupt as it could get, enter Kevin Ezell.

In response to massive pushback from the pews, the president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mision Board (NAMB) issued an “apology” letter for lending the rapidly-waning credibility of the nation’s largest church planting network to the He Gets Us campaign – a deep-funded advertising campaign promoting a false gospel and an unbiblical, woke Jesus.

He Gets Us is a radically affirming campaign promoting a Jesus that is a social justice warrior completely disinterested in sin, repentance, or the exclusivity of the Gospel of the actual Jesus. The campaign and its church connection chat will gladly point “seekers” to a gay-affirming church:

https://twitter.com/TomBuck/status/1580316365596274688?s=20&t=7UW7Pjvn54q84AhwMe-4ug

Showing his worldly pragmatism has no bounds, Kevin Ezell wrote that it’s apparently totally okay to get on board with the woke Jesus train if it might lead people to “connect more people to our churches” because “these ads will be seen by millions of people.”

With no concept of the gravity of his error nor apparently any plans for truly apologizing, Ezell described the campaign as “too broad,” which is apparently the evangelical newspeak way to redefine false gospel. He finishes off his face plant by stating that they will pray that “the conversations begun by this campaign will lead to gospel-centered conservations (sic) and cause many to seek to learn more about Jesus.”

That’s right – the president of NAMB is praying that the false Jesus-promoting He Gets Us campaign will teach about Jesus. Apparently, Ezell is unconcerned with which Jesus they’re going to get. God help us.

Here’s the letter:
