Prominent Indiana pastor and ‘anti-sex exploitation’ advocate David Wigington has been accused of hiring escorts and prostitutes while on ministry-related trips, according to a recent article in the Roys Report.
Wigington is the lead pastor of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Bloomington, Indiana. According to his church bio, he has “traveled worldwide to engage, encourage, and equip missionary workers and pastors in more than 60 countries.”
He’s also the Director of Church Relations1 for Project Rescue. Founded in 1997 and growing to $10M in annual revenue, they are a “global, faith-based network that rescues and restores women and children who are survivors of sexual slavery and human exploitation.” Wigington has been heavily involved with them and has reportedly helped raise millions of dollars to stop sex trafficking.
An investigation into his activities, however, would suggest he’s been leading a double life. The Roys Report writes:
Dozens of texts and emails shared with Roys Report (RR) show that Wigington scheduled appointments with escorts or erotic massage parlors while traveling for ministry. They also show that Wigington subscribed to various accounts on OnlyFans, a platform used mainly for adult content, as well as on pornographic websites.
Jo Fipps, a longtime congregant and church volunteer, discovered Wigington’s purported secret life after receiving one of the pastor’s old computers. The laptop wasn’t properly wiped and still gave access to his iCloud account, texts, messages, and calendar, dating back to 2020.
“I was not remotely suspecting or expecting to find the depth of what I found: conversations with dozens of people that appeared to be sex workers talking about sexual services and meeting up all over the country,”

Here, cross-referenced to Wigington’s calendar, we see him seeking out a massage while in Dallas during a Project Rescue event, with ‘Frisco’ being a suburb of Dallas.
Contacting a woman he met on adult search, he can be seen arranging a meetup with a prostitute.
Then there is his email, which is used to subscribe to OnlyFans and receive pornographic videos and pictures.
Fipps says he told Project Rescue about what Wigington was up to, but they declined to investigate.
He then submitted his evidence to the Indiana District of the Assemblies of God, but they, too, reportedly had no interest in properly investigating. Fipps spent five months trying to get anyone in his orbit to investigate and show interest, but none did. This disinterest ultimately led Fipps to turn elsewhere to get the truth out.
After being asked for a comment before publication, Wigington sent a letter to the Roys Report insisting “I categorically deny all such accusations as malicious lies and fabrications” and that “I have engaged the leading defamation lawyer in the state of Indiana, William Riley, and at this time he is considering all legal avenues available to me for the remedy of the defamatory conduct against me referenced in your email.”
After Roys’ lawyer pressed him on which parts were lies or fabricated, Wigington and his legal team failed to respond before publication.

Fipps also shared a timeline on his FB page, detailing the failure of multiple groups to investigate.
I never wanted to make this post.
But after five months I feel like it’s time.
Some time ago, I discovered evidence that suggested my pastor, David Wigington, had been paying women for sex all over the country. Hundreds of text messages and emails dating back to 2020 seemed to show a pattern of erotic massages, meetups with escorts, and porn subscriptions.
David is the pastor of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, where my wife and I have attended and volunteered for several years. He is also the Director of Church Relations for Project Rescue, he’s on the LiveDead Elder Board, he’s on the Assemblies of God USA US Missions Board, and he’s a board member and Vice President of Strategic Fundraising for The Stone Table.
Below is a timeline of my attempts to report this information to the appropriate governing bodies and church leadership.
On April 12th, 2026, I sent the evidence to Project Rescue’s legal counsel. I was given the impression that the evidence was shared with the Board and, while they believed it, they were unwilling to investigate, instead preferring to let the District or someone else handle it.
On May 12th, 2026, my legal counsel reached out to the Indiana District Assemblies of God leadership letting them know about the allegations and asking if they would meet with me.
On May 13th, 2026, some of the evidence was shared with the Indiana District Assemblies of God leadership.
On May 20th, 2026, I sent some of the evidence to the General Council of the Assemblies of God. I was told they were unwilling to investigate and preferred to let the District handle it based on their written policies.
On May 20th, 2026, I sent the evidence to the Assemblies of God US Missions office.
On May 20th, 2026, I sent the evidence to Live Dead. I was first told David has “no authority over Live Dead nor are we an authority over him” and they suggested I bring the concerns to the church board or District. I responded to their email letting them know David claimed to be on their Elder Board on his church website. I got a new email telling me they “immediately forwarded this to the proper authorities for David, the Indiana District Council, and are prayerfully trusting the unfolding process.” I was later led to believe that Live Dead actually sent the evidence directly to David.
On May 26th, 2026, I presented some of the evidence concerning David’s alleged sexual misconduct to leadership of the Indiana District Assemblies of God leadership at the District Office. I met with Chad McAtee, Robby Bradford (longtime friend of David’s), and Scott Burr. They opened an investigation. (In this meeting I let them know I had a large amount of raw files and additional evidence that was available to them if needed.)
On July 10th, 2026, I met with Erik Cooper, President of The Stone Table, and offered to show him evidence concerning David’s alleged sexual misconduct. Erik declined to review it at that time.
Sometime in mid-July my wife and I were quietly banned from our church’s app, our Small Group group message, and the Cornerstone Young Adult’s group chat. I assume members of the Cornerstone staff did this, but no one ever reached out to us.
On July 20th, 2026, I met again with the District AG officials: Chad McAtee, Robby Bradford (longtime friend of David’s), and Scott Burr. They informed me that they were closing the investigation and I was given two reasons. #1: A few years ago, I discovered that a close family member had abused someone, so I confronted them. Because of that experience, the District claimed I was now unfairly misinterpreting the messages I saw, though they could not offer a single alternative explanation. #2: The District informed me that David’s computer had been submitted for a forensic examination looking for the messages in question, and the messages were not found. However, this examination occurred weeks after Live Dead sent David evidence of the messages in question. I again let the District know that I had a substantial amount of additional evidence, but they refused to review it.
On July 24th, 2026, I asked Chad McAtee if they were still considering closing the investigation without looking at all available evidence. He declined to provide a straight answer.
On July 27th, Chad McAtee informed me that their lawyers were encouraging them to “take some other steps right now. So that is what we are going to do.” I asked if one of those steps was looking at all the available evidence. Chad did not respond.
In August, I learned that the initial forensic examination was arranged and paid for by David himself. And only now, after 2-3 months, was the District hiring their own examiner.
In August, I decided to hire a digital forensic firm called Avansic to review all of the evidence in my possession. They sent me a letter reporting that it all appeared to be authentic and unedited, and that the text messages were indeed sent from David’s iCloud account.
On August 11th, 2026, my legal counsel sent a letter to Chad McAtee asking him to review all the evidence in my possession. He did not respond.
On August 24th, 2026, I sent Chad McAtee the letter authenticating all of the evidence from Avansic. He did not respond.
On September 2nd, 2026, Chad McAtee (Indiana District Superintendent) and Robby Bradford (Indiana Assistant Superintendent) embarked on an 8-day Stone Table trip with David, Erik, and several other ministers.
On September 6th, 2026, I emailed all of the Stone Table staff/board members letting them know directly about the allegations and that their President had known for months and refused to view the evidence.
On September 6th, 2026, I emailed all of the Project Rescue Board and Elders directly letting them know it had been nearly five months since I reported these allegations to them and nothing had been done.
On September 8th, 2026, I directly emailed the Cornerstone Staff and a couple other church leaders the evidence, my forensic report, and some other relevant documents. The staff and church board had been made aware of the allegations in May, though they all refused to fully look at the evidence at that time. I felt that maybe a personal plea could change their minds. No one responded and some of them deleted my email without even reading it.
On September 26th, 2026, I’ve finally made the decision to make this information available to the public. For months I’ve been trying to do this the “right way”. Let church authorities investigate and protect their members. But the majority of the organizations refuse to investigate. My church leadership of over 10 years refuses to talk to me or look at the evidence, instead opting to quietly excommunicate my family and believe lies about me. Everyone has put their faith in the District’s investigation.
But one of the three district officials investigating is a longtime friend of David’s. They spent two months letting David investigate himself, then closed the investigation and tried to weaponize my own trauma against me. And now it’s been two months since I heard from Chad McAtee directly, even though he’s been traveling internationally with David.
For five months I’ve watched leaders refuse to honestly engage with the evidence provided. No one has asked David to step down during the investigation. He has continued to preach on Sundays, baptize children at VBS, perform marriages, and travel for these organizations.
I don’t know what else to do. All I ever wanted was to do the right thing. But I cannot sit in silence any longer.”
