In a heartbreaking post, prominent SBC pastor Mike Stone of Emmanuel Baptist Church shared on social media that his daughter Sarah has entered hospice care at their home, writing in part:
“After a courageous battle with numerous physical illnesses, our precious Sarah has entered Hospice Care in our home.
Our entire family faces the days ahead with faith in Christ, confidence in the resurrection, and the blessed assurance that our Sovereign God does all things well.”
While no specific diagnoses other than numerous physical illnesses have been given, according to her mother Andrea, who has been her caregiver, Sarah has long been battling physical ailments related to neuromuscular weakness and POTS, along with the complications that come with it.
Despite her frequent suffering, discomfort, and hard days, Sarah has never ceased turning to the Lord for comfort and mercy, recently pinning these beautiful truths to her Facebook wall:
