A pastor at Texas U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico’s home church says most of their congregants are agnostic or atheist, according to a recent report in Townhall.
Rev. Babs Miller is “Minister to the Parish” at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas. Part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), the congregation is pro-choice and pro-LGBTQ and is about as progressive as they come.
In a video obtained by Townhall, Miller can be seen admitting that the bulk of their congregants do not identify as Christian.
Speaking about the 2024 attempted assassination of President Trump by Thomas Matthew Crooks in Butler, Pennsylvania, Miller added: “We still have people in this church who wish that the young man had not just nicked his ear, but had been more successful.”

In that christians can’t even agree on who the TrueChristians(tm), are it’s great to watch them point fingers at each other. Since not a single one of them can do what their jesus promised, it seems that their cult is a lie or they all have something terribly wrong.
You’re mistaking Christians for people who worship and serve a political party. If you were to replace “TrueChristians(tm)” with democrat, republican, partisan, or some other underlying worldly agenda or competition of mankind that is all about the here and now, then your statement would be a lot more accurate. It’s not the pointing of fingers, but why the pointing of fingers. As Jesus was also a “finger pointer” who pointed out and slammed the snot out of the wicked, scribes and pharisees in particular. The question is why He did so. Not whether or not He did. But why He did. See, for some “finger pointers” it’s about the eternal fate of others and for that reason, the true Jesus, the true Gospel. For some, it’s simply about the truth and the fact that many are being misled (which you yourself have observed – as you yourself point your fingers). The truth matters. That’s what it’s about. Scripture says that a truly born again Christian is one who has come to a “knowledge of the truth”, by the indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit and implanted word, to overcome the corruption from Adam.

When you talk about what Jesus promised, you’re talking about scripture. That’s what the Bible is for. We reference it in order to know what’s correct, why there is finger pointing, and whether or not the finger pointing is justified. The pharisees pointed their finger at Jesus. He pointed His finger at them. In fact, He first pointed the finger, and rightly so … (Luke 11). The existence of finger pointing isn’t the problem. The problem is why the finger is being pointed. Is it in reference to God’s word, or is it out of wickedness of the heart and rebellion against Him and His word. In the case of Talarico, it’s the latter.
