A new survey of religious life in Germany reveals that nearly half of young Germans believe in the existence of a biblical hell, compared to 80% of elderly Germans who don’t, according to a report in Evangelical Focus.
Christian news agency IDEA surveyed 2,000 people with the question “What is your position on the following statement: ‘I believe that a hell as described in the Bible really exists’” and found:
“47% of those aged between 18 and 29 believe in the existence of hell as described in the Bible….It is amongst those aged 70 and over that the highest proportion of people reject the idea of hell as described in the Bible: only 20% believe in it.”
They further found that independent churches, most of which were evangelical, held the highest agreement in the belief in a biblical hell at 61%, followed by Roman Catholics at 40%, and then lastly Germany’s Protestant churches, such as their Lutheran, Reformed and United churches, at 38%.
Notably, 59% of Muslims affirmed the question, putting them higher than Catholics and their Lutheran counterparts.

Lutherans of any one are with out excuse.As all The bibles doctrines are in luthers large and small catecism their in the creeds their in the western rite liturgy their in the book of concord and of course the bible and church devotionals .so Even if a pastor neglects his duty . they been told about the main doctrines of the bible including hell in other ways and each every sunday. Plus they take a vow when confirmed .before they can take the lords supper .
even Lutheran hymns tell about heaven and hell . If you dont worship the true God than your not going to want a hell .. i kind of think Your god is who you love to worship. Do you worship mostly at the alter of self doing what pleases you loving to spend your time and money mostly there. Than your not going to want to believe in hell
Jews and Germans . Martin Luther they know his IQ and Einsteins also . Luthers was around the same perhaps a little higher from what i remmber reading about them . yet he knew the smarter people are , the harder a time they had with faith, in any one but them selves. Thats why Jesus held a little infant up as a model of faith to have in him instead of a doctor or lawyer . Being realy smart can also be a good thing if used in faithful ways to what scripture says . but most times it hinders ones faith . we see that in lots of smart people . God even talks about in scripture and what he does to such people .

And only 2 swiss people at first believed that zwingli was not secretly married before he actualy got marrued to his pregnant wife after se was aboutto have a baby .since zwingli was having trouble keeping his pants on before with another gail the rest of the swiss were thinking how dumb does he think we are ? well It turned out lots of them were really dumb after Zwingli was able convince them This is ( really means this is not! . not ever married must mean secretly married.
Polls say lots of Reformed kids been pulling a Zwingli when asked about their girl friend being pregnant .. Its ok we were secretly married two years ago. AND NOT MARRIED really means are married .
