“Pastor” Mark Driscoll appeared on the Jeremy Boering Show, where, in a conversation about the war for young men’s souls, he repeatedly lied to the audience by insisting that he doesn’t know his social media handles, doesn’t know what is being said about him, doesn’t know what the comments are, and doesn’t respond to critics.
This would be big if true, except a cursory examination of his Twitter/X handle, which he’s had for nearly 20 years and is the primary way he interacts with the public, shows that it is routinely used to respond to criticism, review comments, and address things being said about him.*
While there are tons of examples of him responding to his critics (click his handle @pastormark and sort by replies to let the good times roll), one of the most obvious proofs of his deception occurred earlier this year.
Driscoll, who oversees Trinity Church in Scottsdale, AZ, had Pastor Millicent Sedra preach at his church on the dangers of feminism and posted a video on X promoting her. This resulted in a run of blowback given his previous positions describing women as “unfit” to be pastors.
True to form, as has been his habit for decades, Driscoll, knowing his handle and what was being said about him, responded to his critics, arguing with them over his actions.
We wrote about it in our article titled “Mark Driscoll Has Woman Pastor Preach At His Church, Promotes Her Message,” specifically noting and citing Driscoll’s defense of having her speak by saying the woman pastor was teaching other women during a midweek gathering.
Driscoll, despite insisting to Boering that he doesn’t respond to critics, responded to us repeatedly, decrying our article as clickbait and saying we were lying about him, despite it being objectively true.
In fact, Driscoll cares so little about what’s being said that he mentioned the incident during one of his church services, putting up the snapshot of our article and sharing it with thousands. Because he doesn’t respect his congregants, however, he openly, repeatedly, and shamelessly lied to them, which you can watch in the video and read more about below:
In fact, he shared it with hundreds of thousands of followers, who did not see it the way he did, but rather criticized him for it.

While Driscoll lies to his congregants with impunity, he apparently believes Jeremy’s audience is not too dissimilar, hence the claims of aloof detachment and focus despite every every evidence to the contrary.
*One may nitpick and say he doesn’t know ALL his social media handles. This may be true, but is besides the point. He and his ministry have a couple which just clip and share content without interacting with the audience; passively regurgitating his teaching. But X is his main one, and is where he does all the things he has he doesn’t do, and where he knows all the things he says he doesn’t know.
