Bad Wolves will no longer open for Skillet on the band’s upcoming fall tour after Skillet fans discovered that Bad Wolves’ new lead singer, Sara “Killboy” Skinner, operates an OnlyFans page.
On August 18, Christian rock band Skillet announced that Bad Wolves would open for them on their Comatose 20 Years tour. Bad Wolves is a secular metal band whose catalog includes some highly explicit lyrics.
One example is the song “Knife,” with its copious amount of F-bombs.

After the initial tour announcement, Skillet fans began investigating the new addition to the bill and found that Skinner ran an OnlyFans account. In a similar vein, rumors began to circulate that she was also transgender, prompting Skinner to share the news on Instagram one week later and dispel at least one of those rumors.
“I have gathered you all here today to inform you that Bad Wolves will no longer be joining Skillet on their upcoming tour.
Now, Skillet’s camp did not want me to say anything, but apparently a statement has to be made, and I am not someone who’s ever hidden who the fuck I am.
So let’s not leave you to speculate, okay? Here’s the truth. Skillet announced us on their tour, and their fans had a field day doing very extensive research that their booking agents and management did not do.

Within the announcement she also added:

This begs the question, did they not do their due diligence?
It’s not their call, the Label gets to decide usually how tours go. Skillet is signed to Atlantic records which is a pretty big recording label.
John Cooper announced in August of 2024 that Skillet and his Hear It Loud imprint had left Atlantic and become fully independent.
That is not really true. Especially for a 30yr band. Skillet definitely gets a say in who they tour with. I’ve seen Skillet, and they generally have a lot of children at their shows, so this is strange.

If some other nominally Christian artist had done this, Cooper would probably be ranting about it on the media circuit, but when the sin is in his own camp, he doesn’t want anyone to say anything.

It is fair to ask why Skillet was planning on touring with them, and perhaps there is a reasonable answer.
It’s also fair to suggest that Skillet deserves some grace. They have vocally and unapologetically advocated for Jesus and godly living for a very long time in the public sphere.
We all make mistakes and we all demonstrate poor judgment at times. The difference is when you’re famous it gets halfway round the world on X.
Another difference is that when you’re a Christian celebrity, many Christians are hesitant to face the backlash that comes with confronting your sins. John Cooper is still planning to have Escape the Fate open for him on the same tour.
As someone who’s given an abundance of grace to Cooper over the years, I’d suggest he and his supposed accountability structure deserve more scrutiny.
