Country singer Raelynn (Racheal Lynn Woodward) has announced on Instagram that after much “thought and prayer,” she is divorcing her husband of 10 years, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Raelynn, who gained prominence after becoming a contestant on The Voice, is a professing Christian who met her husband, Josh Davis, at church in 2012 and married four years later, when she was 21. She told People magazine in 2020
“Obviously, I wasn’t focusing on Jesus that day — I was praying, like, ‘Who is that hottie over there? Hallelujah!’…” I’m so thankful that God gave me my person really at a young age. I needed a solid person in my life — and he’s easy on the eyes.”

The couple has a 4-year-old daughter together.
Raelynn has spoken of her relationship with God publicly many times, such as when she appeared on the Jesus Calling podcast and expressed how important the devotional was to her spiritual life:
“The time you spend with the Lord shouldn’t just be in the morning or at night. It should be throughout the day, like when you’re just driving. You can talk to the Lord. That’s what is so awesome about God’s heart and God’s presence—you can be in it at any time.”
Notably, Davis wrote the song; ‘Love Triangle” about her parents’ divorce, and vowed it would never happen to her, saying:
I know personally from growing up with my experience, divorce is not an option for me and Josh. It will never be, because I believe that love is hard work.”
