Crossroads Church is a progressive church in Loveland, Colorado. Once non-denominational, they’ve recently been voted into covenant by the Ecclesiastical Council of the Rocky Mountain Conference (UCC) on account of a shared liberalism regarding LGBTQ issues.
Led by ‘pastor’ Ryan Howell, their vision and values statement explains that “we work and partner with others to end The Five Unacceptable Truths of our world: Spiritual Emptiness, Poverty, Illiteracy, Fear of the Other and Modern-Day Slavery.”
They also have a guarantee: there are no “know-it-all leaders” in the church.

During a recent message, Howell insisted that some parts of the bible were written by authors who just wanted power, proffering that King David is a villain in the bible, whereas King Saul is the hero.
"I think Saul's the hero of (the bible) and I think David's the villain."
