A prominent United Methodist agency has released a statement expressing its full support for sex-change surgeries for children, which it affirmed is the position of the United Methodist Church.
The missive was penned by Bishop Julius C. Trimble, the General Secretary of the General Board of Church and Society, which is one of several official agencies of the United Methodist Church.
From the authority of the United Methodist Church, he oversees the agency’s vision, mission and mandate for witness and action on issues of human well-being, justice, peace and the integrity of creation. He leads the agency in responding to critical social issues, facilitates the church’s legislative advocacy, and coordinates its priorities for the U.S. Congress.

In a statement on the denomination’s website titled ‘Protecting Transgender Civil and Human Rights, ‘ he laments that “state, local and other governmental bodies in the United States have already enacted anti-transgender legislation,” which he describes as ‘discriminatory, harmful and unjust.’
As United Methodists, we are called to stand with transgender people, rejecting laws that allow politicians to dictate their health care decisions, take away their basic freedoms like access to facilities, and pursue discriminatory practices against transgender and non-binary people in the workplace or places of business.
Trimble points out that several Democratic congressmen and women have introduced a Transgender Bill of Rights, which he lauds as important and needed legislation that will “protect and codify the rights of transgender and nonbinary people under the law and ensure their access to medical care, shelter, safety, and economic security.’ and seeks to spur them to action.
This includes the rights of minors to seek ‘gender-affirming care’ and surgical intervention, codifying that children be given the right to take puberty blockers, cut off healthy breast tissue, and invert penises into grotesque approximations of vaginas.
He closes with a call to action:
Call your federal senator or representative and let them know you support the Transgender Bill of Rights. The main U.S. Capitol Switchboard number to leave a message or ask for a specific congressional office is 202-224-3121.

Democrats must be insane. No matter how disillusioned some Christians may become with Republicans, Democrats always find a way to make it impossible to vote for them. How can anyone support a party that wants to mutilate mentally ill children? Even war with Iran is preferrable to the trans bill of rights.
Transgenderism should be recognized for what it really is, a type of mental illness. These people need help in accepting the REALITY of the birth sex. This stance by a so called “Christian” church goes against biblical teachings. “And God created man in his image and likeness. Male and female he created him”. Genesis 1:27.
When man’s idea of justice does not align with the commandments of God, he rebelliously and pridefully shakes his fist at his Creator, accusing his Creator of injustice …
The Methodist Church left me long before I officially left it.
One thing’s for certain. This is not a Bible based church that worships Christ. It’s a church headed by demons of Satan.
Sickening. So glad we got out the Pervert “Church.”
Who didn’t see it coming?
1761: John Wesley, Methodism’s founder, licensed Sarah Crosby to preach.
1866: Helenor M. Davisson became the first woman ordained as a deacon in a predecessor Methodist Protestant Church.
1956: The Methodist Church officially approved full clergy rights, requiring bishops to appoint qualified women.
1956/1958: Maud Jensen was the first woman granted full clergy rights; Sallie Crenshaw became the first African American woman ordained.
1980/1984: Marjorie Swank Matthews was elected the first woman bishop (1980); Leontine T.C. Kelly was the first African American woman bishop
Don’t you dare blame ALL women ministers. My Mother was definitely called by God to minister and was very successful – late 1940’s and 1950’s, She saw the beginning of the downfall of the Methodist Church and was very disappointed. Am sure she is spinning in her grave with all that is going on now with the Church.
Marilyn, it is not about any sort of hostility toward women. It’s about fidelity to scripture, and to God’s created order. When that is compromised, even in the least little bit, it opens the door for more and more compromise.
Scripture forbids women from leadership in the Lord’s church, that would constitute rebellion against the created order. No ifs ands or buts. That’s what it says. But women can lead and minister to other women, and to children. And God is not going to call a woman to do anything that conflicts with His created order, and conflicts with His word. He does not contradict Himself. We all must humbly face the truth, as hard as it might be. And the truth is that God DID NOT call your mother to be a pastor.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Heb. 13:8)
“Because I, the LORD, do not change, …” (Mal. 3:6)
Your mother might’ve just had one toe just barely off the straight and narrow, but she was complicit in the diversion away from the commandments of God and to the commandments of men. The start of such a diversion is always seemingly less significant than were the diversion ultimately leads. And now we are seeing where it leads.
“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” (Luke 16:10)
That diversion off the straight and narrow is what brother Tandt is pointing out. Right. It started way back in 1761, and has veered farther and farther off course.
It’s not about any sort of hatred of women, or blaming women, or anything of the sort. In fact, by God’s created order, and in accordance with His word, the men who were involved in the diversion bear most, if not all, of the blame. Look at the first item on that list. Who’s responsibility was it? Wesley’s responsibility. Who will answer for it on the day of judgment? Wesley will answer for it. He bears far more responsibility and blame than Sarah Crosby. Far more. He is to blame.
Just as Adam is bore responsibility and blame. It was his job to lead. And because he did not do his job, sin entered the world. Not by the sin of Eve, but by the sin of Adam.
Now consider why you would’ve reacted as you did, Marilyn, as if someone were blaming women. That already betrays a rejection of God’s created order. Whether you realize it or not. It’s there. And you apparently learned it in your church. Who did all those things Tandt listed? Men did. Not women. Men. And that is who bears the blame.

United Methodist Church = Church of Satan
There is no more vile, wicked, scum sucking EVIL walking the face of God’s earth than those who groom, give hormone altering drugs to and sexually mutilating minors. Jesus said:
For them it would be better a millstone be tied around their necks and they be thrown into the sea.I’m with Him.
