Prominent Canadian Prophet Art Lucier Accused of Sexual Assault, Faces Lawsuit

Art Lucier is a prominent Canadian “prophet” and the pastor of Kelowna Harvest Church in Kelowna, BC, a church group known for their ecstatic charismatic manifestations and 5-fold theology.
He is also the Apostolic Overseer of Harvest Ministries International (HMI), an organization he founded with his wife, and is known for his involvement in the Canadian Firewall (a national prayer initiative), leading “Battle for Canada” gatherings, and heading up multiple Prophetic Networks.
For years, Lucier has been battling allegations of spiritual abuse, emotional manipulation, and reports of inappropriate physical behavior, announcing earlier this month he was stepping back from public ministry after admitting to sins against ‘The Lord’ and ‘my wife.’
Two days ago, two women independently filed lawsuits in the Vancouver Law Courts against Kelowna Harvest Fellowship, alleging Lucier sexually abused them and that the church covered it up.

The church has acknowledged the cases filed against them, issuing a statement on Facebook that ‘Art Lucier, Kelowna Harvest Church, and Harvest Ministries International, acknowledge that we are in the process of being served with a civil legal lawsuit that accuses Art Lucier and Harvest Ministries International of alleged sexual assault, and coverups which supposedly took place over 20 years ago.”
They insist that these claims against Art are “completely and totally false” and “categorically deny these slanderous accusations,” signaling that they will take legal action against anyone who says otherwise.
Let this serve as notice to anyone who posts, shares, or writes defamatory statements about this matter: We will no longer tolerate any form of slander, and those who engage in such conduct could be held accountable through legal action. We will vigorously pursue all legal remedies available, including suing for slander and libel.
