Shocking! New Clip From ‘The Chosen’ TV Show Has Jesus Telling Judas Iscariot WHAT?!
‘The Chosen’ director and creator Dallas Jenkins previewed a scene from the upcoming season of his hit TV show, featuring an interaction between Judas and Jesus that is patently unbiblical and goes against the clear teaching and narrative of the scripture.

In the scene from the upcoming season 5 that was shared by Jenkins during his live Q&A on his YouTube channel, we see this interaction:
Jesus: “You have a choice to make, Judas.”
Judas: “I’m listening.”
Jesus: “Who you belong to. Who has your heart. I want it, and I’ve had it before. You followed me willingly.
Judas: “I want to continue. There’s nothing more than I want than that.”
Jesus: “Then I will pray for you.”
Yet The scriptures never teach that Jesus “once had Judas’ heart” or was in some way a believer. Instead, we read Jesus saying in John 6:3-64, 70-71,
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.
and
Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.
Responding to the issue on social media, one user pointed out that a couple verses later we read that Judas was the soul that Jesus never gave the father, and consequently the Father did not keep. Instead, Judas was a “son of perdition” meaning he was destined to perish. The NIV put it that he was“doomed to destruction.”
Jesus never had Judas heart because Judas never believed, something Jenkins just ignores from the biblical text.
Seems Dallas Jinkins has been hoodwinked.
The Chosen has never been a show for Christians to watch. I continue to be surprised by how popular the show is. Very sad indeed.
I agree with the logic presented. Judas was never, willingly following Jesus. I’m not throwing the baby out with the bath water though. There’s way more biblical truth than there is preferential errors. Besides, I don’t know a denomination that doesn’t have “something” preferential “wrong” or that is disputable according to certain traditions. This is, to me, one of the more obvious errors in the show, although one could argue that Judas, while performing miracles, believed in Christ with true faith only to have it turned away again by worldliness. I am one who believes there is little license that can be taken with where the bible is silent because that doesn’t mean God can’t speak. IMO… I’m not a hyper-exegesis kind of person. I’m not afraid of a little “non-sense”. I’ve been in Charismatic (4 years) and reformed (9years) circles and I haven’t found either of them to be inerrant. Charismatic circles taught me the mature aspect of accepting people for who they show they are and being patient with them despite their errancy, and the reformed circle taught me where to be combative and how to stand firm on the essentials (even though i learned to be way more divisive than I’d like).
