Deconstructionist Crossdresser Derek Webb Releases New ‘Worship’ Song, Citing Reformer John Calvin

When musician and professional deconstructionist Derek Webb isn’t touring and releasing new music with his old band Caedmons Call (What a bunch of disappointments they turned out to be) or dressing up in drag to attend the Dove Awards with fellow queer artists, the cross-dressing apostate is debuting new “worship songs” at the heretical church he attends. According to The Dissenter:

Webb has released a new “worship” song at a church he regularly visits, GracePointe Church in Nashville, TN, called “Some Gods Deserve Atheists.” Introducing this ridiculous song, he explains that he still agrees with John Calvin that the heart is an idol factory, so we need to be “killing off false gods.” He then explains that if you keep killing off gods, but find one you can’t kill, then maybe that’s the real one, but he isn’t sure about it.

How sad is that?
