Idaho Satanist Testifies In SUPPORT of Taxpayer-Funded Religious Education So She Can Start a ‘Satanic K-12 Performing Arts School’
A self-described non-binary “satanic atheist witch” representing Satanic Idaho joined with pastors and spiritual leaders to testify in support of using taxpayers’ dollars to fund religious education and schools, all in a devilish and ironic bid to launch a fully funded ‘Satanic Performing Arts School’ for Kindergarten to High school.
Speaking before the committee, ‘Rev’ Rowan Astra explained: “I’m here to support this. Personally, I’m excited about the ability to truly represent religious plurality, which is a value that’s upheld in Idaho and the United States of America. So I look forward to the opportunity to be able to start a satanic k-12 performing arts school and be able to have access to the same funds that any other religious school would have.”
It’s a clever tactic, with all the recent attention and publicity given to the statue of Baphomet put up by The Satanic Temple in the Iowa state house that was beheaded and defaced.
Following her testimony, the committee put the resolution on hold.
