Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, has given an update on the health of Pastor John MacArthur, 83, after it was widely reported that he was unable to preach the second service at his church on account of health problems.
After the venerated elder asked to to pull out, an elder at Grace Community Church informed the second service congregants:
“Just so you know, Pastor John had a bug this week and preached our first hour but asked if he might be able to take a break for the second hour. So Mike Riccardi is going to be answering the call. It’s pretty pretty amazing we have guys with sermons in their Bibles wherever you go and so Mike’s going to be here.”
The church released an update on their website and thankfully they say he is “doing well and just needs rest from a busy holiday week.”
