John MacArthur Urges Pastors To Join Him by Preaching on This Topic on January 16
John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California has penned an open letter, calling on all pastors to join him in preaching against sexual immorality on January 16, in protest of the insane new law Canada has passed. The law, known as Bill C-4, explicitly declares in the preamble that:
(The belief that) “heterosexuality, cisgender gender identity and gender expression that conforms to the sex assigned to a person at birth are to be preferred over other sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions” is a “myth.”
It makes it a crime to seek to do any of the following, which are punishable between 2 and 5 years in prison, depending on the severity of the breach.
- a. Change a person’s sexual orientation to heterosexual;
- b.Change a person’s gender identity to cisgender;
- c.Change a person’s gender expression so that it conforms to the sex assigned to the person at birth;
- d.Repress or reduce non-heterosexual attraction or sexual behavior;
- e.Repress a person’s non-cisgender gender identity; or
- f.Repress or reduce a person’s gender expression that does not conform to the sex assigned to the person at birth.”
With this new Canadian law, if a congregant tells a pastor they have sinful homosexual thoughts, and seek prayer and counseling for them to have them quelled and brought under the blood of Christ, that is worthy of fines, arrest, and even jail if discovered and brought to the authorities.
After the issue was brought to the attention of pastor MacArthur by pastor James Coates, the Master’s Seminary grad who spent 30 days in jail in Canada for refusing to shut down his church service, MacArthur wrote:
“I am eager to support our Canadian brothers and to preach on biblical sexual morality on January 16, and I invite you as a faithful pastor to do the same. Our united stand will put the Canadian and the U.S. governments on notice that they have attacked the Word of God. We are all well-aware of the evil power and destructive influence of the homosexual and transgender ideology. Our government is bent on not only normalizing this perversion, but also legalizing it, and furthermore criminalizing opposition to it.”
and
“Will you stand with me and our Canadian brothers and confront, in a spirit of love and mercy, the damning sins legalized in our culture? And will you join the nationwide effort to preach on a biblical view of sexual morality on January 16, 2022 and proclaim the gospel of salvation that is now criminalized? If we all stand strong in this conviction together, the governmental forces of evil will be put on notice that divine love and sovereign grace compel us to be faithful to proclaim radical transformation at any cost. This world system and its human governments will gladly send people to hell, but our calling is to rescue people with the truth (2 Timothy 2:24–26).

It is nearly unbelievable that pastors would even have to defend absolute Biblical truths backed by common sense. As multitudes of God’s children abandon Him for their self-indulgent wickedness, the world devolves into absolute madness. Sad and pathetic.
American evangelicals are prone to panic about the waning faith in our nation. But we forget America is not the center of Christianity. The center of Christianity is seated at the right hand of the Father, and of his kingdom there will be no end.

Believers everywhere obviously have reason to be alarmed over Christ’s church forsaking Him by chasing after the things of Satan. Only the ungodly would be fine with LGBTQ and other ‘woke’ evil being embraced by many churches.
