That’s a New One. Charismatic Prophet Gives Novel Way of Explaining Away His False Prophecies
In a move that is most definitely Dr. Michael Brown Approved, News Apostolic Reformation false prophet Johnny Enlow engaged in a new novel form of charismaticspeak, telling chief enabler Steve Shultz on December 17’s Live Right Here that he gets around the claim that he’s a false prophet by noting that while he may be one, and while he lets others call him one, he himself has never specifically claimed the title, and therefore is exempt from the metaphorical stonings that should naturally arrive after he biffs a word from God.
The author of The Seven Mountain Prophecy, and co-senior pastor of Daystar Church in Atlanta explains:
Enlow: I’ve said before, that I don’t announce myself as (a prophet). And I have been called that for more than 20 years as I travel around. I have never asked anybody to call me that. I’ve been introduced in Baptist churches, I’ve been introduced to presidents and prime ministers and other things as ‘prophet’ And in none of those cases that I asked for that to happen, but I was introduced as such and respected and accepted as such, and even received a diploma of honor from, you know, nation of Peru, something done by six different congressmen, for work in Peru. And really, it’s because prophetic words came true at a very macro (level.)
Steve Schultz: I want to ask this real quick because you and I have talked about this a little bit. I want to make sure that people hear what you’re saying and what you’re not saying. You’re saying, you never, ever asked people to call you prophet. But you’re NOT saying that you’re NOT a prophet.
Enlow: That’s correct. And so, you know, part of it’s probably designed to take the heat off myself, by not saying, but I do not say I’m not a prophet.
