Milo Yiannopoulos Throws his $150,000 Engagement Ring into Ocean, Calling it a ‘Sodomy Stone’

Far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, who two months ago announced he no longer considers himself to be gay but rather is “sodomy-free’, released a video where he purported to throw his $150,000 engagement ring, which he calls his “sodomy stone” into the ocean, consecrating and seeking his new identity as an ex-gay.

In typical provocateur style, he got on a boat, got drunk, and allegedly tossed it overboard while Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” played.

Yiannopoulos says he initially planned to toss it out of a helicopter into a volcano, Mount Doom/ Lord of the Rings style, but had to change his plans when he realized how expensive it would be an how poor her is, opting to charter a boat instead. He explains:

It’s called the sodomy stone that’s the name I’ve given to the gigantic engagement ring I bought myself as part of a union that I now regard as somewhat infernal. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what’s real and what’s not real in my life, and thinking about the trappings of my former life, that it would be a good idea to get rid of it…

I’ve prayed, I’ve drunk an enormous amount of vodka and I’ve reminded myself that nothing beautiful or true can be made to grow on a foundation of wickedness.”

While he threw something into the ocean, there is no way of knowing if the ring actually was his sodomy stone worth north of six figures. This is particularly true when he ended the video with a tracking shot of his bible and a case full of his merch, claiming “My checking account has about $800 in it right now, and the last ten years have exhausted my savings. But this is something I had to do. You can’t build something beautiful and true on a bedrock of filth and lies.”

Two months ago Milo explains that this newfound commitment to be an ex-gay has taken a toll on his marriage to husband John Lewis, a man whom he allegedly married in 2017, saying that he has been “demoted to housemate.”

Well, the guy I live with has been demoted to housemate, which hasn’t been easy for either of us. It helps that I can still just about afford to keep him in Givenchy and a new Porsche every year. Could be worse for him, I guess.

My own life has changed dramatically, though it crept up on me while I wasn’t paying attention. I’m someone who responds to micromanagement and accountability, so I’ve found counting days an effective bulwark against sin. In the last 250 days I’ve only slipped once, which is a lot better than I predicted I would do…

The best metaphor I know is that of a flower blooming – “Whatever is loving in man and whatever is lovable in man is Christ in man.” I take this to mean that the more love and the less lust in us, the more we cease to obscure Christ and instead reveal Him, in whose image we are made.

I don’t mean to suggest it’s been easy, just simple: Our Lord endured worse than any of us and promised us that we have to take up a heavy cross each day

  1. Can you stop with the ”far-right”? It is a lefty talking point. By ”far-right” they mean ”nazi”, and nazis were 8th-commandment-breaking leftard social democrats.

  2. I stand with the evangelical church and the majority of good Americans against this right-wing Trumpist trash. There’s nothing wrong with being gay. My pastor in Grand Rapids MI has 2 gay sons. I suggest reading your Bible versus thumping it.

    1. Nothing wrong with being gay? And you have the gall to say “read your Bible” when you obviously haven’t or you’d know it was a capital offense, Leviticus 20:13, and that all who practice it will never enter the Kingdom of God, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” Jesus defined marriage as between a man and a woman — not two men. Matthew 19:4-5, “He answered, ‘Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one’?” The command from the beginning was to be fruitful and multiply. Two men can’t do that. Have you never read Romans 1? Or is it just that you are smarter and more enlightened than that? It clearly say when people turn to homosexuality, and approve of it, that is a sign they been abandoned by God to a reprobate mind.

    2. If there’s nothing wrong with it then why do gay men, in particular, usually die at a much younger age than heterosexual men, especially before they came up with drugs to treat men with HIV.

Furthermore, why are they much more likely to commit suicide, use drugs to heighten the sexual experience, and have a whole range of venereal diseases? Do you think it’s loving to approve of a lifestyle that often causes the usually receptive partner to eventually have to wear a diaper?

And on top of all this, what usually happens to societies that lets sexual perversions proliferate, especially this type that always ends up in pedophilia. I am referring to ancient Greece and especially Rome. How about something called Bacha Bazi in the Muslim world? Is that OK?

      1. Ruthseeker, exactly. They also have a higher rate of domestic disturbance calls involving police. A Canadian study found that the rate of violence was twice as high among same sex coupes as it was among heterosexual couples. I’m not Catholic, but there is a compilation of statistics about this destructive lifestyle at Tradition in Action. It can be found by searching, “Everyone Should Know These Statistics on Homosexuals Frank Joseph, M.D.” It is not loving to enable this sin. People are loving them into eternal separation from God.

  3. Johnny,

Fear not, for if you decide to hold those views you will find plenty of company. Yes, most of the lost world is accepting of homosexuality. Do not, however, miscategorize the church by attributing orthodox views (homosexuality is a sin) to a phenomenon of modern politics (“Trumpism”) . If you choose to deny God’s design that is on you. As soon as you attribute what is evil to God, however, do not demand others join you in your error.

  4. Do you people do any editing at all?

“when he realized how expensive it would be an how poor her is,”

  5. Folks, you’ve got to understand that the far right politically isn’t Nazism or fascism but rather a belief in such a limited form of government that anarchy would result.

Don’t let the mainstream media fool you into thinking that “far right extremism” or the “alt right” have anything to do with political ideologies that are actually on the left and pretty far out there. They count on people’s ignorance.

  6. Exactly. The Alt-Right are Nazis and leftists. The Democrats are the real homophobes. We true conservatives stand with gay rights and LGBTQ+++ 🇺🇸🇮🇱🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈.
