DeSantis Says He’ll be ‘Aggressive at Issuing Pardons’ to Pro-Life Americans Victimized by FBI Persecution
(Life News) Governor Ron DeSantis says he will support pro-life Americans and others who was facing increasing persecution from the Biden Justice Department.
In recent months, the FBI has targeted pro-life Americans for peacefully protesting abortion — including pro-life father Mark Houck, who was dragged from his home by FBI agents and faced 10 years in prison on bogus charges only to have a federal court dismiss them all and DOJ to have egg on its face.
DeSantis appeared on the “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show” Thursday and vowed that if elected president, he would immediately tackle the problem of the political weaponization of the Department of Justice.
CLAY TRAVIS: You have a law background. You’ve obviously been very aggressive legally in what you can and cannot do as the Governor of Florida. The Department of Justice, the FBI has gone after the January 6th defendants with reckless, I would say, abandon. A big part of being president is pardon powers. Do you think the January 6th defendants deserve to have their cases examined by a Republican president?
And, and if Trump, let’s say, gets charged with federal offenses, and you are the president of the United States, would you look at potentially pardoning Trump himself based on the evidence that might emerge of those charges?
DESANTIS: The DOJ and FBI have been weaponized. We see that, we see it in a variety of contexts, some of which you mentioned. Some of it is the FBI going after parents, going to school board meetings, some of it’s how they treat a pro-life demonstrator, how they don’t go after people that are attacking pro-lifers and so what I’m going to—I’m going to do on day one—I will have folks that will get together and look at all these cases who people are victims of weaponization or political targeting and we will be aggressive at issuing pardons.

Agreed about Desantis. He’s the only true conservative in the race right now. Trump spent 8 trillion dollars in just 4 years (Biden’s inflation is worse, but this started with Trump), installed a homosexual “married” man in his cabinet, says a six week abortion ban is “too harsh”, supports red flag laws, gave us warp speed /still praises it (and gave Fauci a presidential commendation at the end of his term), failed to build the wall, rolled over on DACA, and entrenched the swamp…among many other issues.
We had a chance for a real conservative/Christian with Cruz. The emotional gave us Trump to destroy the party from within while playing victim (backlash doesn’t equal “attacks”). He’s been losing since 2018 and will continue to do so. The republic is dead if were saddled with the elderly, slanderous (nothing he’s saying about Desantis is true- as it wasn’t about Cruz in ’16, but the idolaters eat it up with a spoon),spoiled, lying RINO again.
It’s not just independents that won’t vote for him. Many fiscal and social conservatives are waking up to his con as well. He’s moving even farther to the left. Trump won’t win a general election (nor should he- time to step aside for younger, less vile blood) Sadly, I’m concerned that you may be right. I think we’re a nation under judgement/delusion and may very well get Trump vs Biden as a consequence. The golden calves have been erected.
I remember when 80 year olds were retired after having passed the torch in honor… instead of always needing to be the center of attention and clinging to power until death. What a world and a sad generation of selfishness and ego.
