Megachurch’s Leaked ‘Non-Compete Clause’ Forbids Former Employees From Working In the State?
Rod Parsley is the impastor of World Harvest Church and a noted Word/ Faith televangelist. A NAR heretic who never met a bible verse he couldn’t twist, he is known for his constant money-grubbing and exhausting cajoling of the masses by promising that anyone who sows a seed into his ministry will receive miracles and megabucks.

There was also the time Parsley and his daughter Ashton went on off the congregants after some long-term members decided to leave over issues of apparent political disagreement. The Parsleys excoriated them for their actions and for daring to get “fed” and “blessed” by them for years and then just leave; taking their finances with them, saying “Some of you came and you ate and you left your dung, and you’ve done nothing to reinvest in the vision. You’re a reprobate“
Recently, Robyn Torgrimson of the Mega Maniacs podcast shared an image of a non-compete contract from World Harvest church that new hires are expected to sign. Some of the things World Harvest Church staff are bound by doing once they leave include:
-Promising that you won’t join or align yourself with a church or any organization that ” is speaking against or is in opposition to Pastor Parsley”
-Promising that you won’t become a pastor or staff member of any church within 100 miles of Columbus, which includes nearly the entire state, including cities like Cincinnati, Springfield, and Dayton, as well as parts of West Virgini, Indiana and Kentucky. The exact language reads:
I hereby covenant not to establish or to accept the pastorate or become & staff member of a local church within in a one hundred. (100) mile radius of Columbus, Ohio, due to the possibility of novices as well as carnal and disgruntled leaders seeking to follow my leadership and leave World Harvest Church without the leading of the Holy Spirit. According to church history, such rebellious moves by parents have separated children and youth from their friends, local church and the pastor they know and love. As one who heralds the truth of Holy Scripture, I want to encourage the sheep within the sheepfold to submit to authority and not to rebel against God’s order of authority. I understand that according to scripture that I will reap that which I sow into the ministry of Pastor Rod Parsley and World Harvest Church.
-Promise that you won’t criticize him or negatively talk about him.
-Promise not to reference your employment and experience working for him, including” title and position, Pastor’s name, or the name of The Ministry” either written or verbal, to promote your professional career or further businesses.
Ultimately, this abusive contract is not about ministerial ethics, but rather about control and power, and Parsley is tripping on both.
