Pastor Mike Todd Under Fire for ‘Feminine’ Preaching Attire

Pastor Mike Todd of Transformation Church has come under fire for a strange and unflattering outfit he wore during his sermon series Mustard: The Seed That Can Change Everything, with many people on social media noting that his disastrous choices distracted from any message he was trying to preach.

Even the Christian Post addressed his provocative style, referencing his outfit as something an ‘auntie’ might wear.

We last wrote about Transformation Church after they hosted a celebration of life for the late pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ, hell-denying, Trinity-denying, Universalist, Unitarian Bishop Carlton Pearson, where lead pastor Michael Todd praised him as a “man of God” who faithfully lived out the gospel message. Then we watched Todd display his contempt for the scriptures by trashing the stage and pouring syrup and whipped cream all over a bible, giving a strange and strained sermon illustration, preaching nearly his entire message in tight pink pants while his barber gave him a haircut and shave on stage, and when he snorted and then hocked a loogie full of spit and snot into his hand and rubbed it in another man’s face.

The decision to dress in such provocative clothing is not new for Todd. He was criticized in 2022 when, as part of his sermon illustration, he wore a shirt of his wife in a bathing suit with the caption ‘Hot Girl Summer,’ giving the congregation and the hundreds of thousands of people who stream his service an upfront look at her in a two-piece.

Months later, he preached another sermon in a shirt featuring his wife wearing a strapless, low-cut dress that might generously be described as immodest, giving folks watching his sermons an eyeful.

Along with the frequently strange and distracting outfits, which, in years of watching, we’ve never seen him wear the same outfit twice, (except his pink pants) Todd has been criticized for frequently wearing designer clothes that can cost thousands of dollars for a single shirt or pair of pants, such as when he wore the $1200 mohair shirt modeled by women,

Or, all these times:

Todd seemed to note the controversey in his sermon the next Sunday for the second part of his message, saying:

“I have to make a confession: I’m annoying to people. No no no, I am fully aware-no no no, not everybody, but there is a segment of our society who doesn’t like how audacious I am. They’ll find anything to try to tear down what God’s doing in my life. It can be a piece of cloth or it can be the way I say something…”
