World’s Largest Orthodox Church Opens in Romania

The People’s Salvation Cathedral in Bucharest, the largest Orthodox church in the world, opened to the public on October 26, 2025, after more than 15 years of construction. Also known as the National Cathedral, the church is more than 410 feet tall and cost more than $300 million to build.
