Lecrae Says Urban Christianity is a ‘Hotbed’ for Racism and Homophobia,’ But Real Christianity Isn’t Like That

Following deconstructed rapper Lecrae’s recent controversies suggesting Jesus would have been considered ‘ratchet’ in his time and then being forced to discontinue his I can quote Cardi B and Corinthians line of t-shirts, we wanted to highlight something he said in a now-deleted video. Here, he claims big city Christianity is a hotbed for racism, homophobia, and anti-intellectualism and then reveals he wants to distance himself from that, because that’s not what real Christianity is.

The shirt was not about promoting debauchery or wordliness. That wasn’t the intention.  Now,  I can own the fact that I should have put more thought into that before we dropped it. I didn’t even consider some of these realities.  Context is king and Christianity in major cities and places that I dwell is a hotbed for racism,  political ideology,  homophobia,  anti-intellectualism. And I always wanna push back on people when they think that, because we’re not. That’s not what Christianity is, but a lot of people think that’s what it is.

Christianity in major cities is not a hotbed for any of those things, but Lecrae’s beliefs about them certainly land him in hot water, particularly with his views on homosexuality and what constitutes ‘homophobia’ being incredibly suspect. It wasn’t two years ago that pointed questions about the bible’s view of LGBTQ saw him hemming and hawing worse than Joel Osteen repeatedly saying “I don’t know” to CNN’s Larry King’s questions about the exclusivity of Chris. Lecrae has previously said he’d attend a gay wedding if asked, so would refusing to attend one be one of those homophobic things he doesn’t want Christianity associated with?

Lecrae concludes with a novel belief that the ‘rock’ Christ will build his church on is not the confession of Peter that “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” but instead on the city itself.

So I’m always trying to help them understand, “no, we are where you are.”  You are welcome to come talk to Jesus,  whatever space and place in life is. When Jesus is at Caesarea Philippi.  He said  upon this rock I will build my church upon my church.  Scholars have come to understand he’s not talking about Peter.  He’s talking about Caesarea Philippi itself,  which was a very worldly pagan ritual-esque place.  Lots of orgies happening there.  And Jesus saying,  “no, upon this rock.  This is where my church is gonna be established. Like where y’all think is dark is where I’m gonna be.”

And contextually he says,  ‘and the gates of hell will not be able to withstand.’  Like gates keep people out. He’s saying the gates can’t keep us out of doing the work of my father.  And that’s kind of the perspective that I have is that,  man,  Christianity is not dead.  We’re still here.  We’re alive,  we’re thriving.  The sub-Sahara,  China,  like growing every day.  Communities of color in America,  growing every day.  So I’m always wanting people to know (?) where you are.  And in my attempts to do that, I can come off as seeker-sensitive and I can admit that.  But my intention is always to reach,  man.

Bonus: We’ve spoken at length about how by every measurable standard, the deconstruction Lecrae is so grateful to have undergone is not healthy, but rather is the picture of unhealth leading to death. Let’s look at his life over the last two years.

Disgraced Pastor Johnny Hunt Claims His Extramarital Encounter ‘Nobody Else’s Business’

Thirteen years ago, disgraced pastor and former SBC president Johnny Hunt engaged in what he describes as a “brief, consensual extramarital encounter,” and what the woman involved maintains was non-consensual sexual assault. His church was never told about the incident and it remained a secret for a decade until it outed in the recent Guidepost investigation.

During our investigation, an SBC pastor and his wife came forward to report that SBC President Johnny Hunt (2008-2010) had sexually assaulted the wife on July 25, 2010. We include this sexual assault allegation in the report because our investigators found the pastor and his wife to be credible; their report was corroborated in part by a counseling minister and three other credible witnesses; and our investigators did not find Dr. Hunt’s statements related to the sexual assault allegation to be credible.

These allegations of sexual assault and revelation of (at the minimum) a “brief, consensual extramarital encounter” caused Hunt’s life and ministry to implode. He lost his job as VP at NAMB, was formally suspended from his position as Pastor Emeritus at First Baptist Church of Woodstock congregation, and was subject to great personal embarrassment.

Though he was quickly ‘restored’ by some friends and now is traveling and preaching on the conference circuit, he nonetheless filed a lawsuit against the SBC and Guidepost, claiming that they defamed and libeled him. Though his primary contention seems to be with the Guidepost resport, that fact that the current SBC president Barb Barber called the woman in question an “abuse survivor” didn’t help matters much, and Hunt is alleging substantial reputation and economic harm, as well as “personal harm and anguish.”

A new report by RNS about the lawsuit explains that Hunt is fired up about having his affair exposed, arguing that he never should have been included.

The heart of Hunt’s claim of invasion of privacy and defamation was summed up in a recent court ruling filed by his attorneys. Hunt’s sins, they wrote, were a private moral failing that should have been kept confidential.

“Pastor Johnny was not the president of the SBC or a member of the Executive Committee at the time of the incident,” they wrote in a memorandum, opposing the denomination’s attempts to have the case dismissed. “He was merely a private citizen whose marital fidelity was nobody else’s business.”

While the Guidepost report is indeed pure trash– an embarrassment that should never exist in its current form, Hunt claims that he’s always taught that “confession should only be as broad as the offense.” He believes that since he “sought forgiveness from those I had offended” and “did my part,” none of this should ever have been made public.

Hunt’s view that his sins as a pastor should be private and not publicly disqualifying is as idiotic as it is unbiblical and makes no sense in light of the scriptural imperatives regarding church discipline and qualifications for an elder.

If that’s what he truly believes, then perhaps he should have been disqualified way before that encounter thirteen years ago.

Video Proof of Gold Teeth Miracle! This is Super-Convincing! I Believe it All! Wow! The Lord is the Best Dentist Ever!

‘Apostle’ Adrian Pose is a Cuban-born impastor “called to bring the movement of the Glory of God to the nations through signs, wonders, miracles, healings, expulsion of demons, resurrections of the dead and the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom.”

Currently overseeing the House of Glory in Tampa Bay FL, he gives Bill Johnson’s Bethel church a run for its money for the most miraculous congregation, claiming that apart from the same regular old gold dust miracle that Bethel is known for conjuring up by releasing gold-colored glitter through the air ducts, that at his church and in the homes of its members, “gold dust, precious stone dust, diamond dust, and also precious stones and real diamonds” have appeared “out of nowhere.”

In fact, apart from the proliferation of precious stone dusts, when you attend his church, you’ll see “testimonies of creative miracles, organs that God creates out of nothing and places them in bodies; you’ll watch testimonies of resurrections of the dead by the power of God; you’ll watch deaf, blind and paralyzed people healed by the power of God.”

During a recent Heaven Here event in Montana, Apostle Pose claims that the Lord did the spectacular, amazingly supernatural miracle of…giving some guy a gold tooth? Let’s watch:

That’s one of the worst and lamest miracles of all time. Apparently, the good Lord has nothing better to do than to use his cosmetic sensibilities, cap off a few cavities, and engage in some ‘divine dentistry for his own great glory.

Here’s the sad reality: these people are deceived, in part, because they want to be deceived and are not content with the ordinary means of grace. 2 Thess 2:910 talks about how “Satan is “displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.” If folks are deceived and fooled by something as asinine as spontaneous gold teeth fillings, how will they react when the devil really shows up?

‘U Can’t Touch This?’ SBC Church Plays M.C. Hammer, Beyoncé, AC/DC Medley During Service

Church by the Glades in Coral Springs, FL, above and beyond all other congregations, exemplifies the use of worldly entertainment and ear-scratching techniques in the pathetic hope of catching the attention of wayward goatlings.

Known for their extravagant attempts to keep their members entertained, the 8000-member Southern Baptist megachurch frequently features secular songs in their services, having a repertoire that includes a Beyonce song about Dominatrixes, a cover of Run D.M.C’s sleazy and sexual song Walk this Way in church, performing Kendrick Lamar’s N95, only cleaned up and sanitized for church audiences, removing the curse words and racial epitaphs for a sermon illustration, putting on a Willy Wonka Christmas worship service’ and having a crazy ‘Baby Shark’ mashup during service, replete with smoke and canons!

In a newly unearthed video from their May 2019 sermon series “Heroes, Villains, and Sidekicks,” the church did a five-song medley to get the congregants pumped up and primed for the preaching, singing Taylor Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do, Estelle/Kanye West’s ‘American Boy,’ AC/DC’s Back in Black, M.C. Hammer’s U Can’t Touch This, and Beyoncé’s Run the World (Girls.)

It’s shameful as it is unsurprising. Lead impastor David Hughes has previously rationalized including these sorts of segments as part of his liturgy and services with this phenomenally stupid bible twist:

The church should have a show- every weekend we should have a show. I’ll tell you why. For my super spirituals right now, don’t log off, because Jesus promised and Matthew’s Gospel that anytime two or three or more would gather in his name, he would SHOW.

A Gallery Of The Faithful Gathering For Church. Album 5

The fifth album in this year’s series showing our brothers and sisters in Christ gathering for church service as faithful believers.

While going to church does not make one a believer, refusing to faithfully attend a local church should seriously call that faith into question. This is a glimpse of what the global church is up to, and will feature images in chronological order, week to week, of the men and women being obedient to the scriptures. As always, click pictures to enlarge them.

Bethel Church Buries ‘Prophetic Time Capsule’ Under $97M ‘Apostolic Training Center’

Despite Bethel Church showing themselves to be a false teaching factory that partners with their Supernatural School of Ministry to spew out a bevy of blasphemers, this has not demured their desire for more influence and power, with the devilish devotees recently revealing they “had the privilege of encapsulating declarations and prophetic words sent in from believers and supporters around the world” in “sowing them into the foundation” of their $97M Apostolic Training Center.

Like a monument erected to the devil himself, Bill Johnson has previously announced Bethel Church in Redding, CA, is building a state-of-the-art campus where they can “continue to pursue God’s decree over our movement” and whose goal is to produce thousands of prophets and apostles in the Bethel mold.

In 2019, Bethel launched the “Arise and Build” campaign to kickstart their 5-year plan to establish and build out the Collyer Campus. The megastructure will include a 171,780-square-foot campus, 1500 parking spaces, and 300 bike racks on 58 acres of land. There will be a worship center that seats 2600 people, and the Apostolic Center will have classroom space for over 3000 students. They broke ground in August 2021 and expect to finish by the summer of 2025.

To date, Bethel has raised $41.3M out of their $97M goal, though with building costs and a few expansions, it’s expected to cost well more than $100M.

Explaining that “every word is now a physical seed in our shared revival history,” some of the buried. prophecies include:

“I hear the word ‘expansion!’ Blessing upon Blessing. This new expansion in the physical will be mirrored in the spiritual.”

“I declare next-level prophetic intercession over this space…”

“Nations, nations, and more nations…Proverbs 22:27”

“We are your burning ones; the fire on the altar shall never go out.”

For more on Bethel, they have a ‘Lab’ where they apply ‘scientific methods’ to the prophetic, and where you or your business can get a custom prophetic report for only $2750. They offer courses on interpreting dreams for $150, and they offer ‘acting classes’ for $26,700 and a dance certificate for $14,000. Furthermore:

Abortion Rates INCREASE Even After Overturn of Roe

(Republic Sentinel) Abortion levels in the United States rose significantly in the first six months of 2023 relative to a comparable period in 2020, according to newly released data from the Guttmacher Institute.

Some 511,000 preborn children were murdered nationwide between January and June of this year, an increase from 465,000 in the period from three years ago. The phenomenon comes despite the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, a development which had prompted various states to enact new legal regimes surrounding abortion.

The increase in abortions was attributable to a…to continue reading click here.

Trump Calls 6-Week Hearbeat Bills ‘A Terrible Mistake’+ Wants GREATER Access to Abortion

While Trump has never shown himself to possess a profoundly principled approach to abortion, a new interview with Meet the Press’s Kristen Welker has the former president claiming that he’s going to come up with a solution to abortion that both pro-lifers and pro-choices are going to like, all the while criticizing six-week heartbeat bills and those who support them.

Trump has previously criticized political opponent Ron Desantis for wanting to institute a ban on abortion after a heartbeat bill can be detected, and has repeatedly refused to say whether he’d support a federal law restricting abortion across the country. While rightly noting that democrats support abortion, “after five months, six months, seven months, eight months, nine months, and even after birth you’re allowed to terminate the baby,” Trump also chastised Republicans for advancing abortion without rape or incest exceptions:

“I think the Republicans speak very inarticulately about this subject. I watch some of them without the exceptions, et cetera, et cetera….I have exceptions, by the way. I think people should have exceptions. I think if it’s rape or incest or the life of the mother, I think you have to have exceptions. It’s very important.”

Not content to advocate for the murder of preborn babies who were conceived by victims of sexual assault, he continued:

I think they’re all gonna like me. I think both sides are gonna like me… What’s going to happen is you’re going to come up with a number of weeks or months, you’re going to come up with a number that’s going to make people happy. Because 92% of the Democrats don’t want to see abortion after a certain period of time.”

Unfortunately, Trump is delusional or deeply dishonest if he genuinely believes that pro-death Democrats will “like” or support anything other than abortion up till birth and the celebration of that abortion therein. When asked whether or not he’d sign a federal ban at 15 weeks, he revealed:

People are starting to think of 15 weeks; that seems to be a number that people are talking about right now… I would sit down with both sides, and I’d negotiate something, and we’ll end up with peace in that issue for the first time in 52 years. I’m not going to say I would or I wouldn’t. I mean (Ron Desantis) is willing to sign a five-week and six-week ban….

When Welker presses him on whether or not he’d support a six-weerk ban or if that goes too far, Trump rejoined:

I think what he did is a terrible thing and a terrible mistake.

California Admits Failure, Finally Ends Travel Ban to Pro-Life States

(Life News) A couple years ago, California banned official travel to pro-life states in a desperate attempt to virtual signal in support of abortion.

Since 2018, California has banned state government employees from traveling to Oklahoma because of its conservative laws. In 2019, city government leaders in San Francisco and Los Angeles passed similar bans for city employees. Their reason was because Oklahomans are working to restore basic human rights to unborn babies.

Further, an Illinois Democrat lawmaker introduced a bill to ban state government employee travel to pro-life states.  Colorado banned state employee travel to Alabama after it passed a law to protect unborn babies from abortions. San Francisco, which passed an initial travel ban, expanded its ban to nearly half of the country in October after more states passed pro-life laws.

Now, California has realized the absurdity of the travel ban and its governor signed a law reversing it. California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill Wednesday that essentially admits the policy was a total failure…to continue reading click here.

Arch-Heretic Jesse Duplantis Brags ‘I Live in the Biggest House in the State of Louisiana… It’s 40,000sqf’

Arch-heretic Jesse Duplantis is known for his love of filthy lucre and declaring that the Lord’ flexes on him by ‘giving’ him a private jet. Perhaps the best living example of a two-fold son of hell that will spend eternity screaming in horror in the lake of fire if he doesn’t repent, we wrote about him recently after he argued that if you don’t believe in the prosperity gospel as he does, one that has made him a multi-millionaire by savagely beating and twisting the scriptures for his gain for decades, then Jesus will tell you to “go to hell,” as you seemingly can’t handle all the riches that will be inlaid in heaven. Notably, he’s claimed that God has given him half a billion dollars over the last few years to “reach souls” but that it’s not enough.

He’s claimed to be the fulfillment of messianic prophesies eternally associated with Christ, engaged in gross manipulation when he told folks to give me money so Jesus doesn’t have to cry anymore, and said: “When you see me, you see the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. You see God Incarnate.”

Speaking at the 2012 Southwest Believers’ Convention, Duplantis can be seen making the following boast about his plantation-style mansion, which has 25 rooms, 7 1/2 bathrooms, and is considered the single largest church rectory in the world. Since the ministry owns the home and it’s classified as a ‘parsonage,’ it is tax-exempt from the $33,000 a year in taxes that others in his position would pay.

I live in the biggest house in the state of Louisiana. I have the biggest house of any preacher in America.

Now I don’t mean that arrogantly or pridefully. I have a name for my house: la maison des rêves- the house of dreams.

You’re like Gone with the Wind? My house has that same staircase that Scarlett O’Hara walked up. Oh, I paid cash for the home. You want to know how big it is? It’s 40,000 square foot. Oh yeah, my (unintelligible) if you look at Cathy: Oh Jesus, we’re gonna catch it again.

It’s 40,000 square foot…and a lot of times if I go out cars start stopping, honking. Christmas I walked outside the front, just walked out and a man slammed his brakes said “Brother Jesse!” I said ‘hello’ and he threw $5,000 over the fence. In $100 bills. I said I ain’t telling Cathy nothing,”
