NAMB’s New Church Plant’s Lead Pastor is a Woman

A new Church plant from the Southern Baptists Convention’s North American Misson Board (NAMB – the church planting arm of the SBC) has tongues wagglin’ and liberals defendin’ after it was revealed that one of their lead pastors is a woman.

Jamie Farver, who co-leads 1Name Church with her co-pastor husband, is described on the church’s website under the “meet our pastors” section, as an “incredible wife, mother, and leader.”

Subsequent chyrons all across the website and in media reinforce this reality that she is a “lead pastor.”

Naturally, this is strictly prohibited by the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, which says “While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.”

Despite this clear violation, we don’t expect anyone in the SBC or NAMB leadership to care, which is why we routinely dog them for their disobedience to the scriptures. In fact, we rarely expect anyone to acknowledge it, given how frequently they flagrantly flout how wretched they are, revealing the corruption and lack of integrity buried deep within the denomination.

Part of it is that it’s most prominent leaders don’t even acknowledge a problem. SBC President-Elect Al Mohler, for example, is convinced that the SBC has no women pastors, despite visuals like the above. He recently said:

…That’s rather stunning when you consider the fact that out of the almost 40,000 churches associated with the Southern Baptist Convention, not one of them has a woman as pastor…The problem with that is not one of those churches has a woman as pastor…We’re talking about 40,000 churches. And at the moment, I don’t believe that a single one of them has a woman as pastor…Again, the math, 40,000 roughly, and the other column zero. That’s not a close call…Again, 40,000 in one column, zero in the other…If Southern Baptists want Southern Baptist churches to have pastors who are women, they can do it, but they don’t do it.

Last year we did a big expose on this, when we discovered that 10% of the biggest churches in the Southern Baptist Convention have women pastors on staff, and another 15% have women functioning in the role of pastor, just without the title.  47 of them based on 466 churches. Add another 35,000 churches to the list, and it doesn’t take much to know we have a problem.

It is a fact. It has been a fact for years. It has been a fact for years that you can throw a rock into any random Baptist potluck and hit a pastrixes right in her Beth Moore Study Bible for the amount of them there are scurrying around unrebuked and un-kicked-out-of-convention.

Here’s some of what those churches look like.

The fact that a new NAMB church plant is operating in direct violation is only news because it lists Jamie as a “Lead Pastor” whereas most SBC churches give their pastrixes titles like “Worship Pastor” or “Spiritual Formations Pastor.” As a result, the only way corrupt organizations respond and act is by threats to their existence in the form of defunding.

If NAMB is going to actively plant churches with women pastors on staff, NAMB should be immediately defunded by the SBC and local churches ought to loudly and vocally cease contributing to the Cooperative Program, shouting out exactly why every step of the way.

Bethel Pastor Describes God ‘Losing His Virginity’ By Having Sex with Congregation

Bethel Church’s School of Supernatural Ministry Pastor Dave Ward, who is sure to become a mainstay here on Protestia, told the congregation during an August Encounter Room service that he has a message from God given in the form of 50-year-old secular song lyrics: pucker up and take a mint, because the Lord wants to know them as Adam knew Eve, and in fact has already known them in that way.

We’ve written about Bethel Church recently, the charismatic California megachurch headed up by Bill Johnson. A few months ago they sang worship songs to themselves, talked about how angels sit around God’s throne and have farting contests, and had one of their pastrixes promote the notion that God heals through holy snoring. Mostly we ragged on them because they’ve repeatedly shut down their healing houses and supernatural healing ministries due to COVID-19.

In the case of God wanting to get real intimate with his creations, Ward took to the stage during a worship set and explained:

“I’m just going to read the words. It’s a secular song. I won’t sing it, because I don’t know the encounter would work, But I really just feel the Lord is saying these words over us.

Ward continues that he wants the congregation to receive this into their hearts because “the Lord is going deep right now.” He proclaims of the series of man-centered, self-important, sentimental, syrupy, theoerotic lyrics: “These are the words He says over us.”

For reference, the lyrics he reads come from the 1957 folk Song The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. They were written by Ewan MacColl for his lover Peggy Seeger, a woman with whom he was cheating on his wife and having an affair.

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies, my love

And the first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hand
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command, my love

And the first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the earth
And last ’til the end of time my love

After reading the lyrics, Ward concludes “If this song isn’t prophesying, I don’t know what is.”

We believe him.

Pastor John MacArthur Calls Out Ravi Zacharias and Carl Lentz as ‘Phoneys’

Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, called out deceased and disgraced renown apologist Ravi Zacharias and disgraced ex-Hillsong Pastor Carl Lentz during a January 17th sermon.

Commenting that he loves the clarity that has arisen in these new times of polarization, he expresses gratitude that creative cultural Christianity is going and has gone by the wayside, saying:

And as well as I look at this I, as I mentioned earlier, I love the clarity that has arisen. You know, we had for decades people find a creative cultural Christianity that could appeal to non-believers. It was accepting of immorality, accepting of homosexuality, accepting of racial hatred. There was a kind of superficial, shallow Christianity that watered down the gospel, didn’t talk about sin, tried to have a positive message. It was very successful.

Now, I think there’s a sifting and a shifting. First of all, phoneys are going to have a hard time hiding with the internet.

We’re seeing one after another after another after another dead ones and alive ones, this dead apologist had a deviant sex life. This cool dude, rock and roll pastor, was immoral with multiple women for years and years.

I look at all that, and my thoughts were, I don’t know…I don’t think if it weren’t for Jesus Christ, that I could sell anybody on Christianity. We preach Christ, right? And you’re attracted to him, right? But if there are people out in the world that just look at Christianity it has to be not only uninviting but maybe even repulsive…if it weren’t for Jesus Christ, Christianity would have no appeal.

Lentz was terminated from Hillsong after it was revealed he had multiple affairs, and Ravi’s own organization revealed he engaged in years of sexual sins and molestations of his staff.

Teen Star JoJo Siwa has come out as proudly gay in a series of viral posts posted to her social media.

The 17-year-old singer, actor, dancer, and YouTube personality is known for her clean and upbeat music, anti-bullying message, and dancing routines that are all popular with tween and young teen audiences.

She’s been alluding to her newfound lesbianism these past few days, dancing in a TikTok video to “Born This Way,” the Lady Gaga LGBTQ anthem that has amassed 4.8 million likes and 27 million views, by far becoming Siwa’s most popular video on TikTok.

The particular snipped she sang from contained the lyrics:

Rejoice and love yourself today
‘Cause baby you were born this way
No matter gay, straight, or bi,
Lesbian, transgendered life,
I’m on the right track baby,
I was born to survive.
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or orient made,
I’m on the right track baby,
I was born to be brave.

Then she released picture on Instagram of herself wearing an LGBTQ rainbow-colored tracksuit, and finally for her finale, posted a photo on Twitter, tweeting a picture of herself with the caption “My cousin got me a new shirt.” The shirt in question? A graphic T-shirt emblazoned with large blue letters that say, “Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever.”

Siwa is the most well-known and prominent celebrity teenager to come out.

Jen Hatmaker Tearfully Repents of Saying ‘God Gave us This Land’ + Erasing Natives in Virtual Prayer

Jen Hatmaker, popular mommy-blogger, podcaster, and pseudo-Christian pagan who continues to wield her platform to promote theologically perverse doctrines while climbing the ranks from “Gadfly False Teacher” to “Arch-Heretic,” has continued to out herself as a vessel of inhabitation for shifty-eyed swine who’d rather not go off a cliff.

When she’s not crying her eyes out and mourning the loss of Ruth Bader Ginsberg as a “Good and faithful servant,” she’s been advocating for all manner of LGBTQisms, recently saying that the “center of the Church” has failed to be black, gay, and transgendered.

Now, Hatmaker has issued a public apology for a prayer she gave at a January 21 Inaugural Interfaith Prayer Service, which was hosted virtually by the Washington National Cathedral, saying she did not mean to cause offense to Native Americans when she said:

Almighty God, you have given us this good land as our heritage.

Writing on Facebook, she says that as a result of the sentence, “My stomach has been hurting all day” and that “I am filled with regret that I offered yet another hazy, exceptional rendition of the origin story of colonization.”

I have one regret and thus apology. The very first sentence thanked God for giving us this land as our heritage. He didn’t. He didn’t give us this land. We took this land by force and trauma. It wasn’t an innocent divine transaction in which God bestowed an empty continent to colonizers. This is a shiny version of our actual history.

Hatmaker says that if she could go back in time and change it, she would say, “God, may we continue to be a people who reckon with our violent history, repent from the unjust systems we built, denounce white supremacy in all its forms past and present, and continue to work together to form a more perfect union.”

Kat Kerr Claims Nowhere Does Bible Say Prophets Must Apologize for False Prophecies

When Kat Kerr, our favorite pink-haired charismatic meme-bot and prophetess isn’t making a fool of herself when she tries to control the weather, she’s been on a bend refusing to accept that Trump lost the election and that her prophecies were false, showing herself to be the ultimate “always Trumper.”

Two weeks ago she describes how God appeared in her bedroom, visibly upset and mad as a hornet, saying that Trump won in a landslide and that Biden stole the election. Promising divine retribution, the Lord of Lords apparently declared that nothing will stop Him from “putting My son Donald Trump back in that White House,” promising to kick Biden out of the White House in what might be generously described as a supernatural storming of Capitol Hill.

Despite that not happening, Kerr is unapologetic and defiant. Though other false prophets have apologized and repented, Kerr will not, Telling Steve Shultz of the Elijah List:

Nowhere in the bible does it say that prophets have to apologize for anything. You’ll never hear me apologize for what God has said to me. I will stand and I will still believe what God said would happen and will happen.

Kerr further states that Biden is “illegal” and “illegally placed” and that “if you knew God more, and if you know how he operated a little more than you do, you wouldn’t be concerned about any of this.”

She reiterates that “God has never changed what he said to me, and he still intends to put Trump in the White House…I can assure you Trump will be sitting in the White House as President.”

She takes a shot at the “other prophets who bailed” on the Trump prophecies and likens their prophecies to Isaiah saying “the virgin will conceive” and that though everyone thought he was wrong, it ultimately came to fruition and just took longer than people expected.

That was a correct prophecy, and I can tell you right now that you should never go back if you heard God, you should never say anything about that.

SBC President’s Church Announces Review of Pastoral Hire Accused of Botching Sex Abuse Case

(The Houston Chronicle) The church pastored by Southern Baptist Convention President J.D. Greear announced Wednesday that an outside firm will review the recent hiring of a pastor accused of mishandling sex abuses a decade ago.

The review of Bryan Loritts comes six months after he was hired at Greaar’s Summit Church in Raleigh, N.C., and after months of criticism from sexual abuse survivors.

Among the critics were those with whom Greear and other Summit leaders have worked closely as the SBC continues to confront sexual abuses detailed in a 2019 Houston Chronicle and San Antonio Express-News investigation, Abuse of Faith.

In 2010, the worship director at Loritts’ Memphis, Tenn., church was accused of recording at least one person as they used the restroom. The man, Rick Trotter, was at the time Loritts’ brother-in-law and the announcer for the NBA team Memphis Grizzlies. Trotter was terminated from that position soon after, but moved to another nearby church.

After he was charged with multiple counts of voyeurism in 2016, the churches released a joint statement in which they said they “openly discussed Trotter’s prior sexual misconduct and the counseling he attended for sexual addiction,” according to media reports.

Loritts has since said he regrets some of his actions, but that he only spoke to two victims…

Rapper Lecrae says Biden Presidency is ‘Right Side of History,’ Claims Dems are ‘Pro-Life’

Fallin’-Away Lecrae, the rapper who has devolved into a biblically unsound promoter of progressivism last seen putting on a concert in order to Get Out The Early Vote on behalf of pro-choice Democratic Senate candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, is at it again.

Those watching the trajectory of Lecrae know that’s he has been in a bad way for years, showing clear signs that any semblance of formerly professing Christian faith is nearly non-existent.

From promoting and fawning over abortion-loving Democrat Stacey Abrams, to sputtering “You know…well…um…er….ah….I don’t know” when asked about the sin of homosexuality in an interview, to punting the ball when asked whether or not abortion should be legal, he’s barely a blip on the faithful horizon as we wave to him leaving.

Now, on Joe Biden’s inauguration day, Lecrae took a moment to kick back and contently murmur:

Feels good to be on the side side of history…Which of course is the anti-racism, pro-life from womb to tomb, care for the marginalized, anti-Christian nationalism, anti-abuse of power side.

That he believes America is finally on the”right side of history” is no shock, as the Democrats are about to unleash historical levels of pro-homosexuality, pro-transgender, pro-choice, pro-religious persecution, and pro-freedom crashing policies.

One example is that his team confirmed President Biden is signing an executive order within 48 hours to reverse the “Mexico City policy,” which blocks federal funding for NGO’s that provide abortion services oversees.

Yet he somehow believes Democrats are “pro-life from womb to tomb.” Go figure.

When he was asked how he went from his 2008 album “Rebel” which had such theologically sound content that he was welcomed to perform at John MacArthur’s Masters College and Regen Youth Camp, to posts like this, Lecrae was dismissive, saying that he grew out of it.

Big Eva Silent or Supportive as Biden Names Transvestite as Assistant Health Secretary

(Evangelical Dark Web) Mean tweets are the reason we were supposed to support a Biden Regency, according to Big Eva. Because after all, it cannot truly be said that any of the sins that plague Trump are absent in Biden (adultery, shady business practices, lying). But Joe Biden does not send mean tweets at six in the morning, so Russell Moore, John Piper, Tim Keller, JD Greear, and many others in the guild worked diligently to undermine Trump’s reelection despite knowing full well what a Joe Biden regency would entail.

Without being inaugurated, the amount of total depravity we are seeing from the incoming regency is truly remarkable. In addition to touting future pro-abortion policies, Rachel Levine is to be named assistant secretary of health. Levine is a transvestite serving as the Secretary of Health in Pennsylvania. He is most known for demanding reporters conform to his preferred pronouns and removing his mother from nursing homes right before sending a nursing home pandemic there.
