Dallas Jenkins, son of “Left Behind” author Jerry Jenkins, and Director of the smash-hit TV show The Chosen, continues to act as an apologist for the Church of the Latter Day Saints, insisting in a new interview that Mormons have such a reverence and genuine respect for Christ- more than most evangelicals do-and they honor scripture and exhibit fidelity to scripture.
We’ve previously written about Jenkins and his willingness to insist that Mormons love Jesus and are believers, despite them being a non-Christian cult, in our posts:

Appearing on the Follow Him podcast, which is operated by two Mormon BYU professors, speaking in context about a scene he directed which had a lively and joyous atmosphere, Jenkins explains:
I feel like it’s okay for me to say this because as you know, I’m honored evangelical mascot of the LDS church. So I’ve been granted favor to say certain things that maybe others can’t say.
I would say that there’s such a reverence and there’s such a genuine respect for Christ, which is great. You guys probably do that better than we evangelicals do it.
But sometimes it can lead to a formality and I’ve seen it in paintings. I’ve seen it in some of the LDS videos and portrayals of Christ is very formal. He looks and sounds like he’s quoting King James Bible, which he is.
And again, this comes from a good place of honoring scripture, fidelity to scripture.

Fidelity to scripture is exactly why I do not watch movies or shows like “The Chosen”. Even a seemingly little and minor falsehood or misrepresentation can leaven the whole lump (Gal. 5:9, 1 Cor. 5:6, Matt. 16:6). It is like a disease (2 Tim. 2:16, etc.). Faithlessness in that which is [seemingly] little (Luke 16:10, etc.).
Neither Jenkins nor Mormons know and understand the Gospel. If he insists they are born again Christians, then it’s highly likely that he himself is not.
My father always taught me, as it pertains to false teaching, that what makes a counterfeit a counterfeit is that it is very close to the original. And I’ve always kept that in mind. When it comes to the Gospel and fidelity to scripture, 99% is not good enough, and never will be good enough. That 1% falsehood will produce an entirely false Jesus, and an entirely false Gospel.
LDS worships the same God that Jesus did
Are you joking? So Father God, who has “spirit babies” with his wife on the planet Kolab, who ascended to “godhood”, who’s “sons” include Jesus and Lucifer, is the same God as the God of the Bible?
Get in line with Mohammud for the hobby horse ride …
Mormons have:
A different God
A different Jesus
A different Holy Spirit
A different Gospel
They are anathema: Galatians 1:8
Jenkins should know this. Jenkins’ involvement with the mormons to present to the world a non-Scriptural Jesus via “the Chosen” is an affront to God, to Christ.

Mormons believe that they will become gods and goddesses of their own planets. They believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the spirit brother of the adversary. Why would anyone watch a series who’s creator believes that mormons are Christians ?
Any person intelligent enough to research the scam artist and seasoned liar Joseph Smith wouldn’t belong to this ‘church.’
All I have to do is see the angel Moroni (Moronic) atop every temple to know this religious farce is a heretical fantasy.
Very telling to read John chapter 4 and then watch the clip “Jesus and the Woman at the Well” clip (5.8 million views) on The Chosen’s YouTube channel. The real confrontation is missing, and it ends with giggles and girl talk
