Former Crystal Springs pastor Christopher Willett, 48, has pleaded guilty this week to statutory rape, sexual battery, and incest, resulting in a 25-year prison sentence as part of a plea deal.
Willett was the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Crystal Springs, Mississippi (PCA) when he was arrested in March 2025 for sex crimes against a minor.
His 19-year-old daughter, Lindsey, reported him to the police, stating that he had begun sexually abusing her and eventually raped her when she turned 15.
After taking an extended statement, Police Chief Robert Thomas asked Willett to come to city hall on the pretense of discussing an unrelated matter. The ruse was designed to get him away from his home, where he was known to have firearms. Once there, he was arrested without incident.
Later, police executed a search warrant on his home where they found CSAM on his electronic devices.

Sorry, what is CSAM?
The bible is filled with many people who failed. If you break man’s laws, you should be punished. Mant of the mainstream denomination churches support gay marriage which is absolutely sin. God will deal with those who call themselves Christians but aren’t actually born again believers.
TBN did a lot of good in the past. They helped thread the gospel around the world.
I find it odd you mentioned Joseph Prince. He is a very solid preacher and preaches truth.
People forget that church people aren’t perfect…neither are atheists oreven catholic priests. And especially you guys for tearing down Christianity. The bottom line.
You either belong to Christ or you don’t.
Unless your born again, you’re not saved.
Read the scriptures and its obvious.
You guys stand on the same ground as the accuser of the brethren. Very dangerous eternally.
He is not truly born again. One who is born of God will not continue in sin (1 John 3:9). And for this incestuous pedophile to have done what he did, even once, would’ve required continence in sin. The Holy Spirit is not present in him.
Now they also accused Jesus of being the accuser. His answer was, there is one who accuses you, Moses. In other words, He said that even He, being God, was not their accuser, but the law was their accuser.
The accuser of this pedophile is not Satan. No, he’s done the bidding of satan.
His accuser is Moses …
Think about what you have said here Jim. You have said that it is wrong to hold a pedophile accountable for his sins.
Your aim is to protect and defend the institution of the PCA. But you’re not protecting the Presbyterian church, much less the universal church, the body of Christ. You’re turning the church into a brood of vipers, and perverting the grace of God into a license to sin, by perverting it into a commandment to hide the sin. With men such as this in the pulpit, it’s not a church at all. Indeed, if you are unwilling to hold yourselves accountable and cannot receive being held accountable with gratitude, then you’re not a church, you’re a cult.
Nobody tears down the Lord’s church by holding it accountable. That’s just plain ridiculous, Jim. If that were true, then the entire NT would be tearing down His church, because the Apostles pretty much slammed the snot of out them.
The Gospel is not about looking good. It’s not about the appearance of godliness, it’s about actual godliness.
It’s ironic to me how many of you reformed guys are getting just about as bad as the RCC when it comes to your Churchianity. You worship your church more than you worship the Lord. You believe it to be the savior of mankind. And to put it bluntly, that’s a direct fruit of your wrong and unbiblical eschatology.
Look around you. Things aren’t getting better. Things are getting worse.
Neither your institution, nor any other institution, will rule the Lord’s kingdom. He and He alone will rule.
That reference is John 5:44-45 …
“Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses”
There are way too many these days who seem to think the church is the savior of mankind. It’s Churchianity.
That’s one main reason why I have sparsely attended for many years. I don’t want to get caught up in it.
Now because of all the wickedness going on in this world, many are gravitating to the institutions of mankind we call churches, to save them, rather than the Lord. And those institutions are being defiantly defended without regard for right and wrong, without regard for the commandments of God, and ultimately without regard for the Lord.
That can be filed under worshiping the creation rather than the Creator (Rom. 1). It’s the same wickedness.
And where does that chapter tell us it starts? Suppression of the truth.
Ultimately, you’re not standing against it, you’re promoting it. You just don’t realize it.
The institution of church is not, never has been, and never will be anybody’s Lord, Savior and Master. There is only one Lord, Savior and Master. Jesus Christ.
Serve the Creator, not the creation.
Too many churches have become cults. Close knit group all huddled together, scared to death. A perceived threat appears at the door, and God’s word goes out the window. And they attach that perceived threat like rabid dogs.
The Holy Spirit, the comforter, also gives courage. Let the Lord and His word protect His church. He can do a lot better job of it than we can.
I’m not trying to tear you down, Jim. You’re just losing focus. Don’t lose focus.
When you start defending the hiding of sins as egregious as the incestuous rape of children, and accusing those who rightly (biblically) call out that sin of doing the bidding of the man of sin (make it make sense), you should know you’re way of track. Way, way, way, way off track. All because you’re eagerly trying to defend the church as an institution of mankind – not the body of Christ, the universal church – but rather the institution. And the end result of that cultish defense, throwing God’s word out the window in order to defend the institution, is that the institution will no longer be a church at all. After which, it wont be long before your institution also starts flying the flag of perverted abominable sin. Because you both are encouraging sin.
Church is not supposed to be a place where the wicked go to get cover and excuses for their wickedness. It’s not supposed to be a place that helps hid the sin of the wicked.
Do not be deceived, this “pastor” is a wicked man. He is not a brother.
