The Rev. Suzanne Roberts is an Episcopal pastrix who works for the Episcopal Diocese of Maine, where she serves as the Transition and Deployment Officer.
During a sermon at the Cathedral of St. Luke (Episcopal) in Portland, ME, she preached on Reproductive Justice, encouraging women that sometimes the most loving thing to do is have an abortion, while lamenting that her daughters may not have the opportunity to abort their children one day, if that’s what they wish to do.
For far too long, clergy from Christian denominations that support reproductive rights have been silent, which has allowed the voices of people from denominations that oppose abortion to dominate the conversation.
This gives the false impression that all people who consider themselves to be Christian are against abortion. In fact, the Episcopal Church has long been in support of a woman’s right to make informed decisions concerning her body.
…And so today, I am saying this to women in our midst:the decision to terminate a pregnancy can be a moral and loving decision for yourself and for your family. You should not be made to feel shame if you have had an abortion.
…And I was fortunate enough to spend my entire 45 years of fertility covered by Roe v. Wade. It makes me sad to think that my daughters may not be able to take the availability of a safe and legal abortion for granted..
Episcopal pastor is "sad" that her daughters might NOT have the option to access abortion services in the future.

That last 30 seconds is indeed insane. She is essentially claiming that God gives relief to the poor, captive, and oppressed by compelling them to murder their own children. The truth is that she is the one oppressing the poor.
As an esteemed poster here once said. Second to simply obeying the commandments of God for that reason alone, the best argument against women preachers is women preachers.
“34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.”
ABOMINABLE !
I shudder to think of standing in front of our Lord at the judgement and trying to justify teaching that to my flock. Maybe it would be better to have that millstone hung around my neck….
