Christian apologist and Bible teacher Mike Winger has offered to fully fund an investigation into the ministry of Todd White, the pastor and founder of Lifestyle Christianity, in light of repeated allegations of fraud, spiritual abuse, manipulation, domestic abuse, low moral character, and financial impropriety, as outlined in a 25-point open letter.
In a four-hour exposé on White, Winger shared with his audience:
“My ministry is offering to pay, this is a serious offer, up to $100,000 for an investigation, independent investigation into Todd White’s ministry. If they will simply approve the investigation, we will foot the bill if it’s a proper good independent investigator with a good goal in mind. We will pay for it. “
Winger has launched a website, toddwhitepetition.com, where people can sign a petition requesting that Todd White’s ministry submit to a third-party investigation. It also serves as a formal, good-faith request to release current and former employees and associates of Lifestyle Christianity (LC) and Lifestyle Christianity University (LCU) from their Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
So far, more than 1,500 people have signed, including many with connections to LCU and LC—such as donors, former students, former directors, LCU teaching pastors, content writers for LC, interns, parents of children involved, conference speakers, and a former CFO of LC.
Winger laded added:
So this website’s not for everybody to sign. It is specifically for people connected to Lifestyle Christian University so that it is the cry of your own people asking you to approve this. And you cannot say that you can’t afford it because have offered to pay for it.
And Lifestyle, you guys need to respond within a month to the petition that we’re offering here. If Todd is innocent, certainly an independent investigation would reveal that. If the evidence that I have brought and the witnesses that I have brought forward were not telling the truth, an independent investigation would exonerate Todd and would show the world that your guys’ ministry is pure and righteous and good. And the money part is already taken care of. So there’s no real good reason not to do.
